It was also just updated on android.

After i updated there was a convention releases tab. When i clicked on it a pop up box asked if i have attended the convention. When i clicked "no" the convention tab disappeared.

I haven't the faintest idea. I wonder if a future feature for the app with convention releases would ask you when is your convention, you supply the date and then the tab will reveal itself on that date. My thoughts.

The tab doesn't exist yet for whatever reason but the update specifically says its for the convention releases. V1.5.0 15th May in the AppStore. Plus bug fix.

I have a question. i can´t see the Jw Library videos on full screen on Android. There is a "full screen" button?

I'm assuming nothing will happen if you answer Yes or No until after the first convention starts.

That's funny. Why would they need that information?

 

It's more likely the JWLibrary app was updated before the conventions to ensure everyone had a chance to update their apps and the Conventions Release section will work just fine after the new publications are released and available for download.

To gauge the load on the servers when the releases are published.

 

If everyone follows the encouragement we've been given, there should only be a few thousand downloads next weekend (the survey from January will give them exact numbers). But if two million answered yes to the survey, they might put the releases on a dedicated server so the site won't be overwhelmed with downloads and unavailable for others.

 

Alternatively (though very very unlikely), depending on how the downloads are handled, anyone who answers yes for this weekend might be locked out of later release dates and unable to get the publications until their public release in December.

That would explain why I had only one opportunity to answer the question. Once I said "no", the Convention Release folder disappeared, I assume it will show up when the releases are published, I'm also assuming it will ask the same question again next week but the publications will be in the folder whether I answer 'yes' or 'no'.
