That young brother on the right is a CO is the making. Very mature, intelligent and well-spoken.

The Peter dramatization could be an excerpt from a movie, like Jonah. Lets wait :D

I think it must be. Ooooh. :)

I liked the point ‘Jesus didn’t blame the storm, he blamed the foundation.’

A few comments on the program itself:

I thought Bob Ciranko was very enthusiastic. He held my attention throughout his talk. A brother who is well-prepared and enthusiastic can make ANY subject come to life. I really got some encouragement on answering the question: "Are we going out on Saturday?" before the year begins. Those days need to be spoken for, if at all possible. One of my biggest fears were being confronted like that in front of people about out beliefs. If someone were to ask me why I don't "get involved", I will explain that we do, but in other ways. We teach people how to love each other and be non-violent. How is that NOT getting involved?

This was probably one of the most practical JWB programs to date. I was very encouraged!

The First Music video in my language

Pebrero 2018— JW Broadcasting Music Video

Orihinal nga mga Kanta No. 38
Hinugdanong Mga Butang

Kada adlaw angay tang modesisyon.
Unsaon paggamit atong panahon.
Adunay panahon maglingawlingaw,
Pero dili kana ang angay unahon.

Hatagi ug panahon ang mas hinungdanon—
Pag-ampo ug diyosnong debosyon.
Suora ang Diyos kanay mas hinungdanon.
Dili kita magpabalda.
Pamalandongon ta ang kaugmaon.
Butang nga mas hinungdanon ang unahon.

Daghan kaayo tag kabalaka,
Makaapektar ni sa pagtuo ta.
Pero duna kitay pamilya,
Kon gusto natong kita ang mogiya nila.

Hatagi ug panahon ang mas hinungdanon—
Pag-ampo ug diyosnong debosyon.
Suora ang Diyos kanay mas hinungdanon.
Dili kita magpabalda.

It was nice to hear a song for a change. We've had a two-month break from those, but I missed them! I wanted them back so bad! But as close as I can figure, the title was More Important Things. Is that what you gathered from it?

For those of you looking for an mp3 version of the song, it's in my very small song collection. So put it on your phone and listen away... :headphones:

Or, if you're waiting for lyrics (in English), look here...

Ev’ry day brings decisions,
and we must choose
How will we spend our time
and live for the truth.

Now, there’s a time to laugh
and be with our friends,
But it can’t be all
we’re living for in the end.

We need to set time aside
for what’s most important—
Prayer, study,
and godly devotion.
Make Jehovah real,
’cause that’s really what matters.

Throw off those things
pulling us down.
Think about the future
and where we are now.
Let nothing take the place
of more important things.

Life sure can weigh us down
with bills to pay.
It can make us lose sight
and misplace our faith.

But our fam’ly needs us
back at home.
And if we want to be there to help
and watch them grow—

We need to set time aside
for what’s most important—
Prayer, study,
and godly devotion.
Make Jehovah real,
’cause that’s really what matters.

Throw off those things
pulling us down.
Think about the future
and where we are now.
Let nothing take the place
of more important things.

We need to set time aside

Make Jehovah real,

How would you have responded to the angry man?

My wife and I had two completely different responses...:)

For me, when people are angry like that, they won't listen to what you say, so I think the brother did good (although he was disappointed in himself) basically, I'd say nothing ... if he stayed and ran out of steam I'd speak and if he became more rude and abusive I'd walk.

I'm not sure I'd have the courage to approach him another time though...

As far as I understand, the Dr and his family lived at the Farm. I was told that, if I had the right skill, a family could be invited. I was told this back when someone talked to me about my family, I had four young daughters at the time, applying for Bethel. At the time they were in need of some fulltime carpet installers who could run large jobs.

As far as his education - I do not know when he became a doctor or when he was baptized.

I do know that one of the Brothers instrumental in several of the advances in computer technology we are currently using got a PhD in Electronic Engineering. He was raised in the Truth and was used in the Congregation before, during and after his degree.

How interesting!  I've NEVER heard of families living at a Bethel.  Not hard to see how they were able to help keep all six in the Truth, in that environment!  Such a privilege...

I have been informed by @JohnFromOz in a PM that the actual title of this month's song is Important Things rather than the above. He brought to my attention a link to the lead sheet that will be posted on jw.org later this month.

I corrected the song title in my collection of songs.

Thank you John. :ok:
