The Mysterious Coronavirus Spreading Worldwide

what is difference between Covid + and COVID -?

Maybe what Brother David @BenJepthah meant is this

https://www.livescience.com/covid19-coronavirus-tests-false-negatives.html  April 03, 2020

Even if you test negative for COVID-19, assume you have it, experts say

Conventional diagnostic tests for the novel coronavirus may give false-negative results about 30% of the time, meaning people with an active COVID-19 infection still test negative for the disease.

"A lot of my patients who have symptoms, who I clinically think have COVID-19, are testing negative," Dr. Alain Chaoui, head of Congenial Healthcare, a practice with 50,000 patients across five locations in Massachusetts, told The Boston Globe.

My goodness! Have people completely forgotten we’re still in the middle of a pandemic!
Plus the tons of rubbish left behind was a total lack of respect for the area & for the people that live there!

The rubbish that was left behind was a disgrace. Utter selfishness, as well as so many flocking there in the first place. I hope this doesn’t result in further spread in the UK

Those with a medical interest may find this article interesting. My limited understanding cannot fully assess if this study has any weight. But it was a good read (albeit scary if true)

How the Coronavirus Short-Circuits the Immune System

In a disturbing parallel to H.I.V., the coronavirus can cause a depletion of important immune cells, recent studies found.

It should be free to read.

Thanks for that article, Tony.  Yes it does go above my head too, but it is interesting that the scientists are getting a better handle on just what this disease does to you, and how it affects different age groups differently.  And this all hinges on our immune system, specifically the production of T-cells to fight off the virus.  But also at the same time some antiviral drug that will fight the infection before the T-cells are depleted in the body - which is happening in the most severe cases.

It also was enlightening to understand why children are less affected - they are producing more T-cells and can stay ahead of the virus.

"Why is it so rare for a child to get sick from the coronavirus?

Children have highly active thymus glands, the source of new T cells. That may allow them to stay ahead of the virus, making new T cells faster than the virus can destroy them. In older adults, the thymus does not function as well.

The emerging picture indicates that the model for H.I.V. treatment, a cocktail of antiviral drugs, may be a good bet both for those with mild illnesses and those who are severely ill.

Some experts have wondered if antiviral treatment makes sense for severely ill Covid-19 patients, if their main affliction is an immune system overreaction.

But if the virus directly causes the immune system to malfunction, Dr. Hayday said, then an antiviral makes sense — and perhaps even more than one, since it’s important to stop the infection before it depletes T cells and harms other parts of the immune system."

So, what we are seeing here is not actually a respiratory disease at all, and certainly not "a bad flu".  If you recover, you can thank the Creator for your immune system that is strong enough to just keep fighting the virus before your organs collapse.  For those who have less efficient immune systems, Prov 22:3 is the only way to safeguard ourselves - and that is exactly what FDS was saying in update #4.

Millions more could die in a possible 2nd coronavirus wave, WHO official warns

“The comparison is with the Spanish Flu, which behaved exactly like Covid: it went down in the summer and fiercely resumed in September and October creating 50 million deaths during the second wave,”.................

The pandemic is behaving as we hypothesized......WHO

Coronavirus traces found in March 2019 sewage sample, Spanish study shows

MADRID (Reuters) - Spanish virologists have found traces of the novel coronavirus in a sample of Barcelona waste water collected in March 2019, nine months before the COVID-19 disease was identified in China, the University of Barcelona said on Friday.

Last summer many people in the US experienced the worst Diarrhea with extreme fatigue and shortness of Air . Myself and my wife and several in our congregation. The CDC said it was from contaminated lettuce .
I have recently wondered if it could have been the 1st round of COVID. Now I’m 85% convinced of my suspicion.

Firstly this gives us the hilarious idea that when the Chinese Govt tried to deflect attention from themselves by claiming Covid19 came to China via America it could be the truth.

More reassuring, if Covid19 was around over a year ago then this is the dreaded second wave and subsequent waves are unlikely to be as severe. Just an opinion.

Actually the article points out that Barcelona has a quite a bit of Chinese tourism. So it still points to an earlier Chinese origin.

WHO has less and less credibility with nonsense like this.

How can they say "millions more could die" when not even ONE MILLION has died so far? They're just selling fear with non-factual statements like that. We are not even near a million deaths, let alone "millions".

Took the words out of my mouth, Bob. The naive person outs faith in every word. I thought the same thing. Even with this terrible wave that came so unexpectedly, not a million have died. So I wonder their basis for saying "millions". They forget that the health care system in the 1900-1940 era can in no way be compared to that in 2020!

I call it baloney!

It is a shame that with the amazing health care we have now that we are at .5 million - isn't it.

Let's not let our guard down and listen to the superior authorities!!

Non factual and often contradictory. How can going to the Beach  be a problem and protestors who protest their businesses being shut down are a problem but massive protests for ( name a cause any cause) are somehow not causing transmission?? So much that is being reported is sewing confusion and chaos. And reeks of some political agenda.

GREAT POINT about the healthcare system. And back then, they didn't even know what a virus looked like.

We are listening to the superior authorities, but them saying millions MORE will die is a non-factual statement at this point. To say millions more will die means millions have already died.

Its an outright falsehood.
