I don't know if this as been answered before (sorry if that's the case but i can't read all this pages right now 😊), but we're having this strange behavior on our KH PC

Every time we touch anywhere on the zoom window(s) the year text disappears from the TV and we have to go to the YT window and touch it so that it shows up again

We've tried restarting, launching first JWL and then zoom, and the other way around also, and it still has this behavior

When we're sharing the screen, we have to go trough several clicks as the thing been shared also disappears from the tv and we have to go to the JWL window and touch it again

This is a known problem with Windows 11. There are 3 solutions:

1. Downgrade to W10

2. Put screenshoot of Yeartext as a desktop background (we use this solution)

3. Use utility already mentioned in this branch attached. It forcefully put focus on 2nd screen JWlib.

this case has a problem if you need to put e.g. Zoom or another application picture on 2nd screen.

JwlMediaWinSetup.exe

Any suggestion on how to solve this?

We used to have this issue too.

The key is there's a difference between a "maximized window" (using the square button in the upper-right) and a "full-screen window" (double-clicking on the Zoom window....and depending on your settings, it may start full-screened)

The solution is to make sure the Zoom window is maximized instead of full-screened.  Full-screen takes priority over maximized.  JWL uses "full-screen".  So if both Zoom & JWL are "full-screen", they will just flip-flop depending on which one you clicked on last.  If Zoom is simply maximized, then JWL will stay on top like it should.

You will then have to specifically click the 2nd Zoom window (from the taskbar) when you want to see it on top.

jayrtom,

Anyway screenshoot of daily text in JWlib put as a Desktop background can avoid any accidental actions. Screen will be the same in any cases e.g. if JWLib is accidentaly closed etc.

By the way, for webcam control (use virtual webcams as a parts of whole picture) we ae using free OBS Studio app.

We can show a yeartext  picture instead of platform before/after meeting etc..

we had this problem when we first installed this pc but somehow it disappeared (i don't remember how... Something to do with the way win11 groups windows in the taskbar? I'm not sure)

But this last Sunday the LDC upgraded our entire sound system. In the process the reformatted the pc and removed the OBS software that we were also using. On the first meeting after that the problem was there again. I tried to remove the feature of grouping windows which i thought did the trick previously but this time it didn't work (or it never did)

Tomorrow i will try the suggestions shared here, thanks

Why on earth would they need to reformat a PC?

In the 20 odd years of using computers and servers, also attending to all the staff computers, I have never had to "reformat" as PC. I may have had to install new hard drives and install the OS and various programs, but reformatting??? Never had I needed to do this.

Whenever the LDC uses our AV computer at our KH, they seem to break something and I always have to fix it.
