Jorge and Vero, a Spanish JW couple decided to send an appreciation letter to their local Lidl, a popular supermarket chain. They thanked the effort the company and all its workers are making to make sure that the neighbors could obtain their basic necessities. They quoted Isaiah 33:24 and Revelation 21:3,4 and mentioned that, until that promise becomes a reality, they appreciated their hard work, kindness and professionalism.

 

The chain management were so delighted with that letter that shared it with all their 16,000 employes, and then posted it on the company's official Twitter account.

Lidl has extended this thanks to its 16,000 employees, but also to those of the competition. In another tweet, they acknowledge that not only they have been "at the foot of the canyon throughout the pandemic": "Our colleagues from Mercadona, Carrefour, Aldi, El Corte Inglés, Eroski or Día, among many others, have given it all day after day".
