I assume this second explanation of those verses is also still valid?

 

 

It makes sense because verse 14 occurs soon after WW1 (with the League Of Nations), not WW2 (if taken chronologically):

Well, I remember, and I say that loosely as I don't always remember right, that it referred to something more. So, looking at Mt 24:29, it gave a reference to Luke 21:25, I looked up the word 'heaven', the reference works led to descriptions of what the scripture means, I found it interesting. I did remember most of these. I think it was in the early or mid 90's we discussed this frequently.

Personally, I put the thought of a third World War out of my head because of one thing and one thing only - What kind of "deliverer" would Jehovah be if he allowed such a thing to happen?  If he has 9 million loyal servants on this earth and allowed one fourth of them to die in a third world war (and that is a conservative number when it comes to the types of weapons countries would be willing to use on one another this time around), is that really a god who saves and protects his people as a whole? The fact that Jehovah plans on actually showing us that he is the 'Deliverer of those who call upon his name' tells me with a certainty that there will be no third World War.

We dont know if this will be a literal, but what mentioned here, for me, was symbolical

 

sun, moon, star, was used to represent Flags

You know what is interesting? Satan does not know when the end will come. Therefore, with each passing year he gets a little more paranoid or desperate. This is another reason why Jehovah did not reveal when the end will be.  No hints or clues to the exact date. No possibility of calculation (we can guess. Our guess might be correct, but a guess us not knowing.) 

 

Satan has no right to know when the end will be.

 There will be "hawks" that immediately scream Article 5, and there will be cooler heads who say "Hold up".

 

Putin is either extremely reckless or he wants to humiliate the West because he knows the West is extremely unlikely to retaliate militarily in view of the nuclear risk. Putin may expect NATO to crash because they cannot agree on what to do.

 

The West will likely decide it wasn't intentional and give Russia a strongly worded rebuke. No, a very strongly worded rebuke (sarcasm).  But, if it happens again, then what?

These "children" keep having these tantrums in the market and "mom" keeps threatening them with discipline but they know "mom" is not going to do anything consequential.

Even though we don’t want these things to escalate, as I see on the news, it seems that events are gradually intensifying—leading the world closer to World War III (I think). At the same time, prophecy is slowly unfolding, showing how current world events may lead to the proclamation of Peace and Security.

 

Time is ticking...

 

Will Jehovah allow World War III to happen—for the world, and for us—to witness how the prophecy of Peace and Security will be proclaimed and fulfilled? If World War III does occur, will it move Jehovah to step in so that events do not escalate to the point of annihilating mankind, while at the same time leading the nations to give their power to the UN for a short period of time?

 

I don’t know—and we don’t know. Time will tell, as they say. Or rather, the Revealer of secrets will make it known at the proper time. Let’s wait for the Annual Meeting... perhaps Jehovah has things to reveal before events reach their climax.

Satan does know about the saying of "Peace and Security", that is why he is going around starting up all these wars and conflicts - he thinks he has a chance of keeping that prophecy unfulfilled.  He's not only murderous but he's delusional - a dangerous combo.

I saw a news blurb about this on ABC news.  Says Russia sent 19 drones and some were downed.  It's a HUGE security concern for Poland but what I find even wierder is that this is pretty big news that Russia would be bold enough to do such a thing to a NATO country and yet it isn't on tv news at all yet.  You'd think it would be the top story considering it involves every country in NATO including the US.  I find it very unusual.

I saw it on CNN, BBC and other media outlets. But I am currently in Poland so not sure if the news are localised.
