Up until 2 years ago I used to live 10 minutes drive away from Windsor, so I’ve many times been near where these type of events are taking place.  I have to say this feels very different.  The press have picked up on the fact that the public are being kept away from proceedings.  This used to be a big part of these type of events / the excitement and build up by the general public (us JWs used to carry on as normal 😊). The feeling being that no one wants the president to be offended by anyone and keeping the public at bay will reduce the likelihood of this (although not eliminate it as already has been seen). 
It all feels quite desperate on the part of the politicians here - like a last ditch attempt to try and save a global order that (we know) cannot be saved and curry favour from a very unpredictable president.

Feels different since the global pandemic. We are indeed living in the last of the last days. 

The talk  from Geoffrey Jackson, Be Alert and Decisive, said that what's happening today was like 66 C.E. The world is divided.

I find it interesting how new reports of Trump's visit to the UK are highlighting the role of the UK-American alliance, as per Biblical prophecy. Too many sources to link too, but a couple, hopefully not behind paywalls.

I feel he is just all talk, he wanted Greenland, Canada etc, we live in a world where annexing other countries is really looked down upon in the western world, i think president trump wants try be a peace maker but on other appearances a strong man against the king of the north. Just more pushing and shoving, but hey Poland closing its borders is definitely something, everyone wants to appear as a strong man.

I do not think he’s all talk. He’s already done a lot of what he promised for the US with executive orders, immigration and tariffs. Dont think that because he isn’t currently talking about Greenland that it is over. He tends to “circle back” on these issues. I wonder if sometimes he’s just wait for the angle to squeeze through. 
Really don’t underestimate why he decided Putin is a guy that would work with him but time will tell how that works out.

Yeah I agree he has on a internal affairs level but on a world affairs level he has not not so much nor can he do much as he is limited in NATOs preferences even the UK has always had a few different opinions to him evan in his last role in office.

As regards putin i think he likes him as he is a strong man ruler same as north Korea. Donald Trump is significantly diferent to the previous kings of the south rulers which were all hell bent on subjugation of the king of the north Russia and its allies. Trump is more of a business man in looking after America.

I recently saw a podcast on YouTube with a guy named Christopher Steele.  Steele was, amongst other things a spy and someone who worked on MI6 Russia Intelligence desk between 2006 to 2009.  He has written a book about his time at MI6 (I’ve not read it yet but may do).  
This is a quote from his book (from Amazon’s advert):

"Putin is now desperate to have Donald Trump back in the White House. If he succeeds in helping Trump get reelected, I am convinced that the global political order will be utterly changed. We shall have entered a new historical era of strategic chaos, a 'new world disorder.' The consequences of Trump winning the 2024 election are catastrophic." 
 

Seems somewhat prescient given how things are unfolding…
 

There are also a number of news reports from credible news agencies that have reported stories alleging that the president was cultivated as a presidential candidate by the Kremlin. 

 

 I guess it IF thats true it possibly explains why Mr Trump is reluctant to be more decisive with Russia.

Canada, Australia and UK recognise Palestine as a state
