Also of importance is the paragraph 20.

As it happened again a couple days ago, this time in a EU country and against the Russian Orthodox Church.

Now I had the time to explain this a bit more what I meant.

Revelation—Its Grand Climax at Hand! Chapter 35 paragraph 20 Executing Babylon the Great

Quote

Again Jehovah uses human rulers in executing judgment. “For God put it into their hearts to carry out his thought, even to carry out their one thought by giving their kingdom to the wild beast, until the words of God will have been accomplished.” (Revelation 17:17) What is God’s “thought”? To arrange for the executioners of Babylon the Great to band together, in order to destroy her completely. Of course, the rulers’ motive in attacking her will be to carry out their own “one thought.” They will feel that it is in their nationalistic interests to turn upon the great harlot. They may come to view the continued existence of organized religion within their boundaries as a threat to their sovereignty. But Jehovah will actually be maneuvering matters; they will carry out his thought by destroying his age-old, adulterous enemy at one stroke!—Compare Jeremiah 7:8-11, 34.

This paragraph alone has some very interesting sentences, even more considering that this a book from 1988.

1- "They will feel that it is in their nationalistic interests to turn upon the great harlot"

Today, when globalization is now stopping, nationalism is on the rise on almost every nation and in levels that were not seen for a long time. And it notably probably started with "America First" and the new American isolationism.

2- "They may come to view the continued existence of organized religion within their boundaries as a threat to their sovereignty."

First, our brothers notice the idea of an "organized religion", as legal frameworks make the distinction between "organized religion" and "personal religion". With Russia at the front of this apparent contradiction.

In Russia, you can be a Jehovah's Witness as your chosen personal religion, but you cannot exercise it as an organized religion. In other words keep it to yourself and be it in silence and alone.

Second, the idea that an organized religion can be seen as a threat to the sovereignty of a country.

Europe nationalism and populism rides exactly on this, with fingers pointed to Islam among others.

Whenever someone mentions massive emigration, foreign religion rides along it.

Know this my beloved brothers, I am not a native English speaker.

Please be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger. (James 1:19)

Russian Orthodox church leader Metropolitan Eugene leaving Estonia Tuesday

he is leaving Estonia on Tuesday, after the Police and Border Guard Board (PPA) informed the metropolitan of Tallinn and all Estonia on Monday that they had refused to extend his residence permit and ordered him to leave the country the next day.

According to the PPA, when processing Reshetnikov's application, they had taken into account his activities as a representative of the Moscow Patriarchate in Estonia, his public statements and his impacts on the country's internal security.

The MPEÕK is distinct from the Estonian Apostolic Orthodox Church (EAÕK), an Orthodox church under the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople and the legal continuation of the Estonian Orthodox Church (EÕK).

Here is my thought on this. Since the sisters are proclaiming the Good News in a large army (Ps. 68:11), then they would do this work while the brothers would be sitting at their homes growing their beards.

Hahahaha, that's why I never grow my beard. Instead keeping busy in Kingdom interest, work with my wife and sisters side by side to speed up the assigned job.

In the UN transcript - What did he mean at 2:51 by "reing"?   I don't understand that word nor could I really find a definition so I suspect a typo.   He has a fairly strong accent.   Did he mean "reigning" or "railing"?

Wrong spelling or might be reeling

Also, I encourage brothers not be overly conscious with their beard hahahaha. Instead focus preaching not in the mirror.

With regards to P&S and the "cry" and that which has been discussed many times in our literature -

I have personally (emphasize personally!), wondered within myself if the "cry" was a begging or a "call out for action" (or rally?) to get the peace and security they are looking for.   Not necessary that they have finally achieved "P&S".

Or perhaps it could be a combination of both?     Cry or "rally the world" to make a needed change, then declare it once they think they have it...

The good news is - we won't have to wonder if "this" or "that" is that "cry of peace and security" as IMMEDIATELY after it they will attack religion in mass (hmm, I hadn't intended a pun, but ... I'm going with it).

So look at whatever statements were made JUST before religion is being attacked and you'll know THAT was it.

Plan ahead as if Armageddon will not come in your lifetime, but lead your life as if it will come tomorrow (w 2004 Dec. 1 page 29)

Soon .....

So theyre crying for peace now?!

A brother has told me that theyre already crying for peace.

I had the pleasure of watching a UN Security meeting, live, back in 2015. Every country that came to the mic and spoke, used the words “peace and security“….. so they have been using these words for years now, even prior to 2015.

So please, do not get excited every time you hear the words “peace and security“ they have been using this phrase for years, if not, decades… that is why the GB has stated the peace and security prophecy fulfillment may not be as obvious as when the Babylon is destroyed…. it will be no question in our minds once Babylon is destroyed…

My only question is (and that of everyone else on here) - what is the timeline of "immediately"?   But we will find out some day, hopefully soon.

I had a nephew who used to ask that when he was told we need to leave in a minute. He'd ask "Jehovah "minute" OR our minute?" It's a good questions that as you say - will be answered in due time.

All of this is just about trust. We all trust our God to do the right thing at the right time. But may He gives us more faith!!

Situation is getting worse  as I remember especially during our generation. I heard older generation said that its easier to find stable jobs but now no more.  Less stable jobs and house and lot  prices are skyrocketing.

Health care is so expensive that poor were left to die.

Today, we have high fuel cost, inflation of food and services and poor global economy due to the war?

And yes, the theme convention is Good news to preach but I remember from WT that the end will come during the time of our busiest.. Many entered the pioneering work since the reduced hours.

I really long to see the new world, not only for me but to those animals and humans who are  suffering.      I grew up with cats, pigs, chicken and dogs.. I would be vegan in the new world if thats necessary. I cant hurt animals.

Our ministry before was in a poor community in the city and I just couldnt bear the sight of people's condition. They live like rats.... dirty houses, canals , wet and dark places with many drug addicts lurking in the corners.

But we trust Jehovah that He will bring solution at the right time.

You are correct in saying this.   I have been following the P&S in news headlines, UN articles, peace organizations (and some topics on JWTALK) for a total of about the past 15 years.   I had to adjust myself and slow down my way of thinking when I used to get so "excited" over hearing various words that mentioned "peace and security" or "peace and stability" (same thing).   I had to try to not get to feeling so downhearted (and dissapointed) when in reality we probably still had time of wait.

However, I can say that on a personal level, I have seen an increase in the action by peace organizations, UN talk, various news articles, etc that seem to accelerate the fact that peace needs to happen sooner than ever.   There is much more urgency to it more recently.

And a quick search of the internet shows the various peace organizations (outside of or working in collaboration with the UN) are indeed busier than ever.

Will it come soon? Don't know, but it will at some point, we just have to endure, which is tough to do but necessary and to keep our faith up that things are "brewing" and the kettle is getting hotter and hotter.

Yes.

There will be headlines of breaking news everywhere, picture of Vatican where priests are escorted and venues emptied, confiscated, churches blocked by the soldiers ...worldwide.. there will be absolutely no doubt what is happening.

Man was created as an intelligent creature with the desire to explore and understand :)

And a couple more things -

  • Probably some initial violence and resistance.  Religion is already involved in violence, imagine when it it "suddenly" taken away
  • Confusion - "Why did God allow this?"
