Wishlist for JW Library

Here is my current wishlist 😄

• The ability to highlight, bold, or italicize text in notes (currently, the only way I can emphasize main points is by inserting an emoji, such as ❗)
• When opening a bible vers in multiple languages, bring back the option to display the name of book and verse under each language (this feature was removed in the latest update, now is showed just at the top and just in the main language)
• The ability to open a publication in two languages (split view), would be very useful for everyone serving in a foreign language
• A "Download all media of this chapter" button for the book Enjoy Life Forever. This would be useful when conducting a study in a foreign language and you want to ensure that everything is downloaded (especially if you will be in a place with no internet connection).
• The ability to activate subtitles in a different language from the video's audio language

• Search field in the video section (similar to the one on jw.org)

• Autosync across multiple devices (although I understand this would require a significant investment to buy and maintain the necessary exchange servers, so it may never be implemented)

I just spent over 30 minutes before the meeting rectifying this issue, after the LDC had a maintenance meeting at our KH and they somehow managed to stuff up our apps and monitors settings. Everytime they touch our AV desk, they manage to break something.

 

I would like this feature for JWL, and when you are using the sound desk, this feature would be a blessing to all the brothers that are using the sound desk, especially when the computer has 3 or more monitors connected to their computer.

 

Make the "display on second monitor" feature within the app so that you can select which monitor that you want for the year text and videos to be displayed on. OnlyM has this feature, please incorporate into JWL.

Same, I have three monitors and it's hard to deal with it. I actually told LDC and the branch about this, but it's been quite a while since I let them know, and it is still not available.

 

I highly suggest that all brothers in Audio/Video let the elders know so they can report this to the branch. Make LDC aware of this as well if you have contact, and you can also contact the branch yourself and let them know about this. That way, the more publishers (elders and AV brothers) talking about this, the more likely they will do something about it, because if only a few publishers talk about this, then they will do nothing about it.

Wishlist:

Set timing for an image on playlist. (currently fixed at 4 seconds)

Shrink Hebrew Scriptures to a tab.

(Mosly I look at the Greek Scriptures, so every time I have to scroll down on my phone to get to the section - or option 2 have Setting to put Greek Sc first and Hebrew Sc second)

I wish we could "Star" an article or scripture to put it in a favorites list without having to highlight it and create a tag. My Samsung Messenger app lets me "Star" a message and I can look at a list of messages I starred, I wish I could do something like that for JWL.

Very good idea. And put single articles as favorites, not only entire publications.

Exactly. Single articles or single scriptures and they don't have to be shown on the Home page, there could be a simple list in the Personal section of all the 'starred' articles.

A new request. It's not about functionality, but a new publication/catalog: an Original Songs Songbook. This way it would be easier to find the lyrics and lead sheets right in the JWL app instead of having to go to the web page. It could have two tabs --one of the JW Broacasting original songs and other for the Jehovah's Friend original songs.
