Three more, for a total of TEN 5.0 and greater earthquakes--just today!

For those that have been tracking earthquakes for a while, more than a few weeks or months, I'm curious how unusual you think this is?  Anecdotally is fine, unless someone has a more scientific article.

(I'm also wondering if this could be a precursor to a larger event or something, but that's a different question.)

I have been observing earthquake activity since I first got the internet in my home, way back in 2001.

I can remember there being periods of intense earthquake activity prior to this, but, this time, the earthquake

frequency is also being combined with an increase in volcanic activity.  More so recently than in past periods.

Not scientific.  Just an observation. :D

A new deep 6.6 is very bad news for the surrounding countries. :(

Dutch is calling for a 7.0 or greater off the west coast of Canada. :(
