WOW! That top is VERY revealing. I would hate to be the microphone runner who has to stand next to her while she is seated. I wouldn't be able to look towards her face - where the mic would be at the end of the pole

The way we all deal with these changes will prepare us for the next updates.

I feal that we will receive more and more instructions directly from GB in the next Updates. 

The faster, apropriate, and ready to obey we react, the more prepared we are for what´s comming.

 

Holy spirit is telling GB to instruct us this way. I feel GT is so close, but so close that this could be the last memorial we attend.

 

What I appreciate the most here is how closer with the actual scriptural principles we are getting. Sometimes, some restrictions that we hold or have could be making things difficult in some places. God’s Organization has earned our trust. Some of us become critical thinkers because of what we were taught and found to be true.

None had smartphones, Ipads, desktops or laptops. Times change and we need to change along with them reasonably. Styles may change but the advice Paul wrote to Timothy at 1 Timothy 2:9 "Likewise, the women should adorn themselves in appropriate dress, with modesty and soundness of mind," Modesty from God's viewpoint never goes out of style! 

 

I like how the Living Translation states it "And the women should be the same way, quiet and sensible in manner and clothing. Christian women should be noticed for being kind and good, not for the way they fix their hair or because of their jewels or fancy clothes." -1 Timothy 2;9,10.

If that turns out to be the reason you are absolutely  correct.

But at the moment, that's just people wondering if that's the reason because it does make sense. They haven't said so though from the Stage.

 

ON THE OTHER HAND. If one looks at the principle behind things, and the stream of time we are in ... I'd go along with you, it's certainly not so us sisters can make new fashion statements. So I think it would be prudent (Remembering that continuing to wear skirts is just fine too) to have different outfits for different purposes. 

At the moment for this Memorial something classy might be lovely, but oh how quickly things are going to change. 

This time next week even we could be in a different place. 

 

The Grey  man concept is certainly already in place for our brothers and sisters in some countries. To be able to walk through a crowd unnoticed will be important soon.

I agree.  The pants look too casual imo.  For me if and when I wear pants to the meeting/service they will be business like.  I realise ones idea of “not casual” differs.  So far many of the photos I have seen showing sisters in pants are modest but also casual.

Problem is sisters have to wear according to their figures. I'd wear this to work when  I was running a headstone business. Really easy to say what you'd wear if you've got a gorgeous even reasonable figure. I have less choice. For now, hehe

 

And the reason they look casual is the top and Hat set that setting. You have nice black heels a white shirt and black or dusky pink jacket it's a whole different story.

Just another thought on what is presented via original songs. The slacks/pants/trousers Nita was wearing in the song ... were tasteful yet I would consider casual. And she was preaching.

This is very interesting to me... I find those pants to be in no way casual for me. I see those pants as very dressy. With nice shoes and a blouse and jewelry, I would even wear that to a wedding. I don't think us sisters have to, now, wear suit jackets with our slacks if the brothers don't need to wear them??

I guess this is a chance for us to show love and respect to all and not impose on eachothers consciences.

 

Jehovah and Jesus created the birds in many different styles. They are true artists. Some birds are very dramatic with bright colors and bold elegant feathers and some are more plain and simple. But they are all beautiful in their own way.  Jehovah loves variety!

Absolutely.  Funny I have a favourite scarf ... I keep beside me in case I need a head covering. It has tassels and is earth colors ... sandy white beige and /green stripes. Very underrated and plain. But when I wear it I feel like the Prophetess Huldah and I feel beautiful. I love it!  

As much as I DO like those pants, I'm equally fine with clothes that reflect the biblical vibe mixed with modern.

 

Jehovah is giving us tremendous choice here. I no longer have to put back those beautiful trousers because I mistakenly thought it was a meeting skirt. 

 

Maybe we are inadvertently building our New World wardrobe without even realizing it?

Just thinking on that. The structure of our meetings currently pertaining demands a higher level of dignity and classy dress. If some, many or all countries go under ban suddenly that structure changes. We will always be dignified,  but it will be relative to the circumstances we find ourselves in.

 

Gog of Magog may well be searching for well dressed with ties and jackets, non bearded men accompanied by very dressy beautiful women in skirts.

"Make sense"? Well, if you're sailboating in paradise and in awe of how everything is, I would assume these reactions would make sense. I've never gone sailboating. I've never been on an island. From my perspective, I wouldn't know what a "normal day of sailing" would look like since I've never been. If it's a new beautiful experience, people have different reactions. I wouldn't have expected sailboats as part of a resurrection feature. These reactions would make sense to me for a normal day of sailing seeing that sailing isn't my normal. That's why I asked how the person concluded this perspective.

I bought 1 slack for me and will add some more. You'll never why it is allowed now. Ive seen our convention music videos and sisters are wearing slacks to have group meeting during GT.

Our standards where I live have reflected what the business world wear. Corporate uniforms were the norm, even for government departments. And they have become less formal too over the last 20 years of being in a government corporate workplace.

 

So I see why our brothers, who are indeed discreet and wise, are allowing us to wear dignified clothing as reflected in the conservative business world. It’s not a lowering of standards. We are still being viewed as very appropriate for the important work we do. 
 

And I too like how we have matured as an organisation that teaches us what Jehovah requires, and trusts the sheep to be modest and discerning too. Our motive is to please Jehovah, not man.

 

And yet, today I wore my dress pants for cart work. And I was scared and apprehensive. Why? It’s hard to change our mindset. But boy, I was really appreciating the extra warmth in the cold, blustery weather (the cart would have taken off if it wasn’t tethered), it was so windy. And I said a grateful prayer to Jehovah for the changes 🌺.
