If we can tell who one doesn't like, one may be a bit biased.  :whistling:

I would say we should dislike them all........but then it might make obeying the superior authority a little harder.  🤔

Hence the wisdom of NEUTRAL.  Neither for nor against.  Neither like nor dislike.  It.....simply....doesn't.....matter!  :ok:

It doesn't matter which side we're on, whether we're for conservative or liberal, Republican or Democrat, right wing or left wing. Both sides are under the devil's control anyway.

Of course, we've heard that in this topic already. But I remember a nice illustration about the need for neutrality on the forums here recently. (I can't remember where it was.)

If we're taking sides in an election, we're like a mouse who's running scared. Then the mouse seeks refuge by hiding under a giant eagle. But the eagle doesn't care if the mouse is hiding under his right wing or his left wing. He's got him where he wants him.

If I was in a quiz, and politics came up, I'd be the dumbest quizzer ever, I don't even understand what it takes to be left or right ... I'm guessing it's like siding with one of many parties we have in NZ, but even then you ask me what each party in NZ ethics were, I'd not have a clue apart from the obvious.

There is something that really irks me, well it would if I were living in America... that if you aren't for the left, everyone assumes you are for the right. Doesn't seem to be any neutral ground you can take, I can see why Witnesses in America would find it difficult to be neutral.

Difficult being neutral? This JW tells it like it is. Yesterday, I told a republican that I’m for Jesus. And 2 weeks ago, I told a democrat that I’m voting for Jesus. No difficults here.

Ok, someone - who shall remain nameless - sent me a clip and it got me thinking of the old JibJab clips.

This one reminds me SO much of right now that .... I'm speechless at how much history just keeps repeating on a shorter and shorter loop.

Enjoy!

And that's the difference between you guys and us in NZ ... I don't have a clue what party people vote for when chatting, unless they bring it up, which in my experience is rare. Everyone in the US, from someone looking from the outside in seems to almost introduce themselves based on who they vote for.

Here, issues are the topic of conversation but not necessarily connected to a political party, with the exception of something that may be in the news , but that's fleeting.

I just don't think politics seem to be the end all be all in NZ. Maybe it's just who I hang out or not hang out with.

Even Tom's family... I wouldn't have a clue who any of them vote for, they don't talk about it. That's what I mean by difficult to be perceived as neutral from others, easy from our perspective, but I'm guessing until you make it know you support Jehovah’s Kingdom they would have you pigeon holed.

The difference between NZ and USA?   Well, the King of the South is the Anglo-American world power.  And the American side of that coalition is the USA.

The BIG elections are (1) big business, (2) a religion, (3) idolatry, (4) slander,  (5) libel,  (6) cronyism, (7) nepotism, (8) backstabbing (9) retaliation, (10) sport, (11) a circus, (12) empty promises, (13) an illusion of someone being in control.

The world waits and watches what direction the King of the South will go in based on who is elected.  It literally has an impact on everything.

Yup it does. Apparently it's taking a lot of air time on NZ news too.  Worth watching is the UK as well since it's dual world power.

Have to say though, BBTGs fall/demise has nothing to do with whoever elected.

It was like that here years ago. People didn’t really talk about politics much.

There has been a lot of polarization though in the last 20 years or so with cable news shows riling up their audience. And then recently it seems there is a no holds barred in what the candidates do and say. It’s a boil that has come to a head.

You are correct in that in recent years, in the minds of most people, you are either for or against their cause. No middle ground for them.

That’s the way I imagine the GT being….people will either be for or against Jehovah and his people. Their minds are trained for no middle ground.

Jer 29:11-“For I well know the thoughts I am thinking toward you, declares Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not calamity, to give you a future and a hope.”

Psalm 56:3-“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”
Romans 8:38-”For I am convinced...”

I totally get what you are saying.  I watched bits of both the republican and democratic conventions.  Of course, I don't care who wins but I noticed that at the democratic convention there is a unity and inclusiveness message, a tolerance and acceptance of everyone and every lifestyle.  It makes me wonder if that message will become a worldwide message. Will that message be the cause of the fall of the divisive BTG.   If so, than it will definitely take courage to preach a message that contradicts.

I feel we are definitely on the cusp of major change no matter who wins the election.

I don't think "tolerance" will spread much beyond the West, but the hatred of it could be a spark that ignites the destruction of BtG. It's possible that former church members will decide to revolt and destroy all of the churches that are preaching "acceptance" and "tolerance". They may hope to rebuild a church that "follows the Bible", but they won't have that chance.

I don't think it is a matter of neutrality, but one of justice

It is a matter of neutrality. Calling for "justice" against one corrupt politician in a sea of corrupt politicians does not come across as neutral. The lure of "justice" is just one of Satan's hooks to get us invested in this system. Ask yourself why you aren't bothered by corruption from other politicians just as much? Could you have an undiagnosed bias?

If Will Smith had played Neo in The Matrix instead of Keanu Reeves, would the Agents have beaten Neo at the end of the movie? Of course not. The screenplay was already written. Similarly, it doesn't matter who takes on the role of President, the ending of this drama remains the same - destruction.

What may have gone unnoticed at the democrat convention are the Planned Parenthood mobile abortion trailers.  And the guys can get themselves a vasectomy on the lunch break.  Also handy are the Plan 'B' "Morning After" abortion vending machines for the ultimate convenience.

These services are described as 'reproductive care'.  But, aren't they actually non-reproductive care ?

I know, I'm being sarcastic.   neutral ~ neutral ~ neutral

I'll interpret for ya.

If Tortuga had played The Lorax in Dr. Seusses classic instead of the fictional cartoon, would the Onceler have had saved the Truffula Trees at the end of the movie? Of course not. The screenplay was already written.
