Have you ever wondered...(funny stuff only)

Their lives were shortened, self imposed. Since the universe is said to be expanding, I am not sure if our ancestors were, in fact, shorter. Some tribes in Africa seem to be shorter, as my children's ancestor from South Africa. Other African tribes historically were taller. It is assumed that humans have gotten taller, older, and fatter in the past hundred years.http://www.livescience.com/46894-how-humans-changed-in-100-years.html If so, why am i always dieting?  As for the universe expansion theory, hey, just cause I have a degree in Astro-physics, it's not like it takes a rocket scientist. Please don't kick me off the thread for not being funny :perplexed:

The question was Have you ever wondered if Adam and Eve were short?

inferring that perfect people may be short and fat and after Armageddon we will all be short and fat.

Also probably not funny, but I have read medical statistics that people who live the longest (In this system) are about 15 pounds over the weight chart as compared to height. I used to work as a nutritional specialist. I really did work at a lot of different jobs, in case someone thinks I am spoofing them.

I think you need to start your own thread called Pearls of Pauline and every time a little trivia comes to mind you can put it in your thread. Then all of us can look, listen and learn.  :D

Have you ever wondered if Eutychus paid more attention at the meetings than he use to?

Have you ever wondered if Paul wondered if his talk contributed to that?

“The foolish man seeks happiness in the distance, the wise grows it under his feet.”

Have you ever wondered what was Adam's last name, and when did we start using last names?

If Adam had a last name, what would it be?

Adam & Eve Human?

They did start the whole Human family.. :D

Good question. Did he blame them for making him lose his temper?

I am not short, I am economical with my ground clearance.

The name Job means 'object of hostility' suggesting it wasn't his given name at birth.

I wonder if he was previously called Lucky Dave?

I like your post, Chris. I know this isn't funny, so please don't bump me from this thread. However, I think words and names can take connotations after being applied. Job may have simply meant hard working, and over time came to imply 'patient' and 'object of hostility.' The word 'impetuous' may have been influenced by the name 'Peter,'  or Simon's name may have been expanded to include an adjective that fit his personality. I know all word roots are not completely searchable, and not all secondary understandings have been recorded. This is conjecture.  Shoot me now, etymology haters.  :gun-toot:

Have ever wondered if it's pronounced 'Job' or 'job'?

Why, yes,I have wondered about that. Thank you for asking, Faith.  My in-laws pronounce their surname as Tyre (Tie-ree). Have you ever wondered why it is alternately pronounced Tyre (Tire)?

If I were really walking like an Egyptian  , I would be hot-walking American Pharoah. (Yah, right :exclamation: ) - Not because I like horse racing, or gambling, or misspelled words (unless you spell equestrian wrong), but I do like how horses are treated backside at the race tracks, in my small experience. My bio-dad (not to be confused with my birth-certificate-dad or my step-dad,) was a horse trainer. I enjoyed being near the shed rows and in the tack room, and occasionally even in the hole. :star:  Horses have a clean smell and appreciate having their quarters cleaned early and thoroughly. They show their appreciation affectionately. A horse is a horse,of course of course. Have you ever wondered why people are so fascinated by our equine friends? Dressage, maybe. Why not?  :S  Since this has brought humor to a complete stall, I will tell you a hose joke:
