Christopher. I had NOT read this until just now. It's 12:35 noonish London time.

we just arrived at our flat. We are 5 minutes walk from Holborn station off the Piccadilly line. If I would have read your post, I would have been looking for you. As it was, I just had my head down looking at the phone for directions. I was uncharacteristicly disoriented. I suppose 14 hours of flying will do that to you. I think you posted while we were in the air.

i am sorry I missed you. I need to stop at an O2 store to get a SIM card. Right now I am using wifi from the AirBnB we are at.

Off to Ireland. So far so good. In fact, we have been having such a wonderful time that there is little time to post many pictures.

It is supposed to rain a lot tomorrow, perhaps there will be time then.

Enjoy and have a safe journey. Only thing, don't rush over many thoughts. Take each and every moment to digest. Forget the world. Just look at the beauty, the smell, the glory of jah in the diversity.

The more you absorb, the worthy the trip.

Otherwise, it will be just photos ,which we will enjoy but you will be not satisfied.

With prayers...... Bye

Trip update:

London was fascinating. I was surprised at how much New York had copied: the subway was similar, city layout, names of places ( Like Grenwich for example) - even the museums are fairly similar.

Anyway, the differences were good. There's no Queen or Buckingham Palace in New York (though Trump may think his hotels are a match. :nope:. ) We went and saw the changing of the guard. What a spectacle!

Off to Ireland.

Stansted airport isn't as big as Heathrow; so, it was relatively easy to navigate. However, I was surprised by the commercialism. After getting thru security (which was quite the ordeal - remind me to NEVER bring a wrench on a carry on bag.. ) we had to walk for about 15 minutes THRU ALL the duty free shops. You HAVE to meander thru them to get to the screens that tell you your gate #. Oh, and of course, they are either in yet another store or restaurant.

You know, just having a few minutes to post has been hard . Every day has just been go go go.

Our 3 days in Ireland went by too fast. It was good seeing Annie and her family. :grouphug: And visiting her congregation on Sunday. We even went to Killarney.

I learned that Ireland truly is 40 shades of green. I'll try and post a few of those pictures soon.

We are now in Scotland. We went to Edinburgh and stayed the night - after seeing the castle, Arthur's throne (who knew it was in Ireland - I thought it was in England. ) and the Palace where the Queen stays for Royal visits.

We drove up to the Highlands today - just past Glencoe in Fort Williams. We are at a very nice BnB. Tomorrow we go canyoning. More about that later - when I stop to breathe. :)

I knew Arthur's throne  was in Ireland, watched all the movies' about the King Arthur, and Queen Elizabeth, fascinating history. When you can find time, check out the movies'. I'm sure you can find them on You Tube.

You'll  need a vacation from your vacation, when you return home..... lol.

It seems Bob has been doing some tweaking to the software. Posting is not the same - especially adding pictures.

That will take a little getting used to from a phone.

Edit: nope it was me. I had JavaScript turned off. Better now.

You HAVE to watch the video about canyoning in the above post. We did ALL of that and it was amazing. After 2 hours of that my fingers started to go numb :lol1:

But totally worth it. Then we went to Stirling Castle - big battle, the Scotts lost and shortly after they found William Wallace - not pretty (watch the movie Braveheart - if your conscience allows).

From there we drive to Loch Lomond. It was great for pictures, but not any kind of hiking; so, we drove on to our B&B in Catbost - near Sligachan.

That is where we are now. Today we took a few hikes: the ferry pools:

Then a hike in the Quiraing

We were so soaked by the end of this due to the light rain and HEAVY winds, it was our last hike of the day.

Let's just say, we went for a hike and ended up swimming. :)

Scotland and Ireland have truly been beautiful.

We have a few more days in Scotland and I just want to soak up as much green as I can.

As usual, you are seeing more of this country than a native. ;) It does have some beautiful areas. Hope you can understand the locals. I assume you have met plenty loons and quines as you travel around. ;) Ye divna want tae annoy them. ;)

We've met lots of sheep

As far as food, we are eating the usual stuff - nothing exotic ( no Haggis or black pudding - especially not the black pudding as Christians we don't eat blood  (Acts 15: 28 & 29) )
