Most languages that don't have the new songbook now will probably have it by the convention. The song numbers in other languages match the English program.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a second volume of Imitate Their Faith released. Saturday afternoon had a symposium about imitating those who have endured. There have also been a substantial number of Imitate articles in the Watchtower the past few years as well. But I'm guessing a book for children and the drama. I also wouldn't be surprised to see that hard copies of new releases won't be distributed. Just an announcement that they are available to download immediately and requests for hard copies can be sent by invidual congregations.

This arrangement would be very well reasoned. Many brothers and sisters will overthink if they really want a hardcopy and the whole logistic effort is being reduced.

I wouldn't be surprised that a new publication is released before the conventions again, like last year, and that book and brochure releases at conventions are a thing of the past.

I noticed that too when I looked at the program for French. They don't have the new songbook in French yet. However, could it be, rather, that the brothers have made sure the lyrics for the songs used at the convention would at least be ready to display on the screens? The French, and the other languages, would not necessarily need a new songbook for that.

 

Last year at convention time, we didn't have the new songbook in English yet either. But the lyrics for the newer songs used (136 - 154) were displayed on the screens. Those who did not have a printout of those songs could sing from the displayed lyrics.

Yup. We won't need printed copies. We'll either have digital copies or those who don't have internet access can use the lyrics on the screen. I'm sure there will be an announcement before the convention about this.
