Watchtower Library on DVD

I am running Windows 10 so I do not know how Windows 11 reacts ... I guess that could be part of the problem.

In the past, when I did have a problem, I re-downloaded the update file and it worked ... the file must have been corrupted

Windows 11 is running on the 2 computers that I updated. Maybe that's the reason.

I have Windows 11 Home version 21H2 and the WTL update installed quickly without any issues.

I updated my win 11 laptop just now - perfect. I put the update file on the Win11 desktop - now perfect. But the 2nd desktop shows the error. It was updated from Win10 to Win11 a few months earlier. I will check Windows file integrity.

My older surface pro 5 updated with no problem.

There is a reason it is called the bleeding edge and I edited in  my Win 10 Pro the update policies to Win10 21H2 which is the latest version for Win 10. It will not do a forced Microsoft Update to Win 11. I update when I want it not when MS thinks I should. When updating it show the little message "Some settings are managed by your organization" Yep, that is me and since it is my time, I want to manage it. After all Win 10 will be supported until 2025 have yet to find compelling reason to update to Win 11. The new system may be here by 2025 why update to Win 11 when it could be Win Millennium :lol1:

It looks like the update isn't working no matter how to install it. After the error I reinstalled the library in German and English. But the update cannot be installed. Has anyone succeeded?

No, I still haven't been able to get it to update and keep getting the "failed to validate update package" message. I tried uninstalling the WTL app. and reinstalled it using the 2017 DVD, but I still get the same message and my version is now older than it was with the previous app. that had the next to latest update on it: 2201.

Umm... There's already been a Windows Millenium back in 2K. For the new system we'll need to think of another name... or will we?

EDIT: Just for the record, my WTLib update installed perfectly. I'm running Windows 10 21H2.

File would not update. I followed the instructions in the 'FAQ' of the 'Help' section referenced above. I had to navigate the C:\ProgramData to delete 2 files. It worked after that. 2022 build.Yay

Great. There was an automatic update and everything works. Thanks very much.
