What's the Weather like where you live?

I completely understand what you mean. We have temperate temperatures here it varies very little. I would like to experience a dry hot summer and then a snowy cold winter. But only in perfect conditions where I don't have to go to work in the winter when it's snowing. I can stay home and make lots of food and have lots of friends over to eat that food. And in the summer when it's hot and warm and dry I can have friends over to have cool refreshing drinks and fresh food.

Seeing people’s life in the western countries seems very pleasant; becoming cowboy, riding horses in the prairie, sleeping in front of firewood while drinking something warm during the winter. But I don't think in Texas it is also snowing.
Here, most people take a trip during the dry season; to go to restaurant, go for swimming, , or just to go to the beach to enjoy the culinary along with their families while enjoying the view. For some people who don’t like to travel too far they went along with their lover to the cinema.

Although not many people travelling during the rainy season, visiting a safari park is very romantic as long as you don't forget to bring an umbrella.

Tomorrow is my long service day, so I watched a few meteorologists,  trying to prepare for it. Here's what I concluded:

Weather changes starting either when it is dark or light out on Wednesday, due to an approaching front. Temps lower than freezing and possibly higher than freezing. Precipitation most likely in the form of something wet. Accumulation, if any, will range from a dusting, coating, a few inches, or maybe even a few feet. Expect the storm to end when nothing is falling from the sky. Could be dry, cold, and sunny, but a word to the wise:  "Bring an umbrella, for just in case." Well, that's actually seven words, but everything else is accurate, generally. .

That is way too much snow. I haven't been around that much snow since I was a young girl. I don't think I would know how to live with that anymore more

Our local weatherman just gave us an update:

Snowfall for this winter so far: 75 inches

Snow cover on the ground: 53 inches

Blizzard that is about to hit us with 60mph winds: possibly another foot or so.

Say yah to da U.P., eh?  :D  (That is the slogan on bumper stickers and license plates)

Just north of us most highways are closed due to blizzard conditions.

Just south of Barrie, ON ( north of Toronto ) 70+ pileup has closed hwy 400 in both directions

and not far away from there, hwy 11 is closed due to 30+ pileup.

We don't have much snow on the ground - it all blew away.

Wind was making our building vibrate for past day - with metal walls on balconies booming.

Aftermath of last blizzard. Top wind gusts in the area was 59 mph.

Pics of my back yard. Went out twice today and barely made a dent in the 5 foot drift.

My clothesline thing is almost buried.

School bus garage collapsed on 15 buses. This is like 50 or so miles west of me.

NEGAUNEE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLUC) - After its school bus garage collapsed Sunday morning, the Negaunee Public Schools won't know how badly buses are damaged until later this week.

Superintendent Dan Skewis says crews are unable to get any of the 15 trapped buses out of the garage. He says the building will be a complete loss, but the district won't know the extent of the damage to buses until the roof and walls of the garage are removed. This won't happen until the middle of the week at the earliest.

The district will be meeting with its insurance adjustor Tuesday.

Skewis says districts from across the U.P. are lending Negaunee buses, so routes will be run as normal Tuesday. He said 13 buses are needed to transport students, and as of noon on Monday, 14 buses were being loaned to the school district.

"We are very grateful with the support U.P. Districts are showing," Skewis told said.

The National Weather Service office - next door to the garage - recorded 16 inches of snow Sunday, which set a new daily record for Feb. 24.

I remember winters like that. Lived at Mount Forest, ON a small village that in late march 1975 had a storm that snow ground coverage went from zero to 2 feet

where the wind could remove some to snow blocking the road of 10 feet. Then there was a drift blocking 3/4 of hwy 89 at Harriston that was 15 feet,

plus hwy 9 thru town ( main street ) went from 4 lanes to barely one and no place to put the snow. I don't miss those days.

Coming down in snowballs, out there.  I expect there will be no service tomorrow morning, and i have long doc appts tomorrow afternoon and all day Tuesday. . I will write, some, b/c I need every minute this month - too many unexpected appointments and conflicting appts on Tuesday.. Prayer to Jehovah helps us meet our goals, as suggested by today's Watchtower.
