After Trump and Brexit, is this the end for the Anglo Saxon west?

As the article isn't news I moved it out of news, but since your question leads more to some research about the 8th king - I moved it to the research forum.

To the article's question. No, according to the Bible the last world power - the Anglo-American dual world power is alive and well all the way to the end of the Great Tribulation. It then fights and is destroyed (according to Daniel 8:25 "He will even stand up against the Prince of princes, but he will be broken without human hand." So, the 7th king doesn't disintegrate before due to economic collapse or political shenanigans. It is destroyed at Armegeddon.

As for the 8th king ......

Plan ahead as if Armageddon will not come in your lifetime, but lead your life as if it will come tomorrow (w 2004 Dec. 1 page 29)

Soon .....

Thank you for your help brother! I see on our research tool it says this about the eight king

"John described the image of the wild beast with seven heads as “an eighth king.” Why did he call it a “king”? It does not appear as an eighth head on the wild beast. It is only an image of that beast. The power of this image comes from the nations that are members of the United Nations, especially from the Anglo-American World Power. (Revelation 17:10, 11) So John calls this image a “king” because it receives authority to do something that will affect the whole world."

So basically the 7th king will still be operating but will be giving its power over the to 8th king?

Interesting article discussing the weakening  of the Anglo-American world power and changing face of global leadership.

I have tried to encapsulate the main points here but for those who are interested the whole article might be worth a read.

As I was reading  Revelation 17:12 popped into my mind,  which says:

12  “The ten horns that you saw mean ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but they do receive authority as kings for one hour with the wild beast.

There has always been a shared conceit at the heart of the special relationship between the United States and United Kingdom that global leadership is best expressed and exerted in English.

In recent weeks, however, the Anglo-American order has looked increasingly weak and wobbly. The unexpectedly messy result of the British election makes it look still more fragile, like a historic edifice left tottering in the wake of a major quake.

There is uncertainty in Westminster, and something nearing chaos in Washington because of Russian probe at the White House and on Capitol Hill.

Neither Britain nor America can boast strong and stable governments. Neither have the look of global exemplars.

In the six weeks since Theresa May called her snap election, the global tectonic plates have shifted fast, leaving Britain and America increasingly adrift.

Voids in global leadership are immediately filled, and we've seen that happen at warp speed over the past few weeks. Brexit has galvanised the European Union. The election of Emmanuel Macron has revitalised the Franco-German alliance, giving it a more youthful and dynamic look.

Post-Paris, a green alliance has emerged between Beijing and Brussels. More broadly, China sees the chance to extend its sphere of influence, positioning itself on environmental issues as the international pace-setter.

More and more, the German chancellor looks like the leader of the free world, English-speaking nations no longer speak with such a clarion voice, and the rest of the world no longer takes such heed.

A new world order seems to be emerging that is being articulated in other tongues.

Don't give up .. it's just around the corner.

The 7th king already "gave it power" by reviving it. Will it give it more? It seems so - at least enough so it can do away with BtG, but NOT ALL it's power. As again - the 7th rules to the very end.

8th's power is short lived and limited DURING the rule of the 7th.

Jerry, I have also posted about this in the same forum but after sister Whitely. Sorry, I thought it was news, too but you must have moved hers before I posted because I checked to see if it had already been shared. Can you merge please ... or put it where you think it should go. Thanks. xo

Good post too. Yes, this seemed more of a research and discussion topic than a news one.

I've seen this. I've wondered if they will try extreme measures to, " fix things". We know who will be that seventh world power. And, yes, things are wobbly right now. Things can change over night, though.

I want to age without sharp corners, and have an obedient heart!

It seems like so much is happening right now.. just as we talked about during our meeting this week - even little details of past prophecy can be very telling! I love these details and hearing what you guys think! A great perspective! GT feels just around the corner

We have at present one of the most Anglophile Presidents in history and that can only be a good thing for the Anglo-American World Power.  Britain as a mnor world power was going done the pan being associated to the EU, Brexit has opened up a world of opportunities that only existed before 1973 at the latest.

Militarily, the UK has re-entered the game with 2no new aircraft carriers (nb: I am not commenting on their current readiness).  The USA military seems to be genuinely excited that their old sparing partner appears to be back.  The first AC will primarily be operating east of the Suez, which seems to be getting politically hotter.

I remember a convention a few years ago that reminded us that the Anglo-American Power will still be operating/dominant by the GT.  Russia's hardware still dates from the Cold War (e.g. Admiral Kuznetsov AC has to be escorted by tug boats for the Syrian War due to mechanical problems) and they do not have the money to replace her and China doesn't want more than a regional hegemony and neither do the rest of the world.
