Now all the new orchestral songs (With the new image that was released after the new songbook) I downloaded are in pending updates for some reason and if I go to update them, the app crashes! Maybe,  just maybe, you should reconsider an Apple, just sayin.

My husband has an ipad and an iphone and, believe me, I'm not overly impressed. In fact he wants to go back to Android.

I think the more creative types like Android and those who are just "show me the app" are more apple people. Android people appreciate being able to customize everything about their tablets and everything is so colorful and fun and the possibilities seem endless (especially if -and yes, I am going to chance using this word in another forum-  you Root your tablet.

Android is so messy in comparison, and much harder to update. If you jailbreak your iOS device you can do everything you can do with a rooted android. Only, you don't have to wait for JW Library updates.

To my knowledge, this is the first update that Apple got before Android. But I might be mistaken.

Jailbreaking doesn't give you near as much possibilities as rooting, and I quote a true pro on this one - Andrej:

The 'root' that we are talking here is not applicable to iOS. iOs devices such as iPhone or iPad can be 'jailbreak'ed.  I don't have much experience with iOS ( I HATE IT ), but i think the functionality gain is not as close as the one from rooting an android device. If you're not completely sure what you're doing, i would recommend not trying it :)

For some reason I am having trouble downloading anything new.   Go figure? Maybe it's something I am doing, IDK!

Don't download anything in your pending downloads. I think a new update will fix all of that. The problem is not on our end.

I think Apple usually receives the updates first. Being first isn't always better, just ask Abel...

There is no rhyme or reason to who gets the updates first but there seems to be a generality. It used to be :Apple- Android- Windows. Then it was : Android - Apple - Windows . and now it seems to be: Windows- Apple- Android. The organization isn't playing any favorites, it seems.

Don't make me get started on all the things that I can do with my android tablet... Which Apple hardware can only dream about. Here are some of the top things. Can you access system files and modify hardware working frequencies on jailbreaked iOS?
The reason why android sometimes gets the update after Apple is because of the diversity of Android devices. An app must be compatible with thousands of different devices, screens and screen resolutions. (Android devices have around 4000 different screen sizes while Apple has less than 10).
