I think we all knew that the specialist artists who bring these bones to "life" can play it pretty fast and loose with reality, just look at how they give a monkey skeleton human features with no way of knowing whether or not it would have had those features. In this case the above link leads to an article detailing how a palaeoartist would attempt to draw animals that are alive today based on only their bones, the results are pretty shocking 😲

Exellent article, and is one of the main points I've always made when it comes to digging up bones. We have no idea of the muscle tone, type of flesh and so on. Whale skeletons are a great example.

In the earlier translations of Bibles and the NWT, refers them as being monsters. So how should we view them? Our thinking process comes into play. The Cookie Monster looks friendly and I don’t look bad as being a Chocolate monster too.

I completely agree. The artists representations we commonly see today aren't nearly as impartial or as factual as is commonly believed. The vast majority have a strong darwinist spin to them!

I’m actually surprised that right after that post these memes were created. If you actually do some research there’s a lot of skeletons that don’t even look like the animal. But once you see what it really looks like only then it will make sense. Also this is to be taken as a jokes since they are memes. Also the aliens recreating the animal is in reference to how someone who’s never seen the animal before would look like  compared to the actual animal. I in now way support “alien.”
