Saw the video from the shoulder cam. Anyone who tries to attack a cop with a screwdriver has bigger problems than a facemask. Just glad it was on camera or it would be a race issue as well.

For some it will still be . 😞

73 year old refused to wear a mask at cottage country store, attacked store clerk then almost ran over customers in parking lot. Police investigated and had confrontation with man and ended up getting shot by 2 officers. Man had hand gun and a semi automatic. Neighbors never really knew him as he was antisocial.

Many similar stories out there.  The fragile minds are fracturing with these unforeseen occurrences. Very sad. They lack the value  in preservation of the mind that the scriptures impart.

Face masks become mandatory for customers and workers in all shops in Ireland from Monday (20/7/20). They've been mandatory on buses since last Monday and there's widespread ignoring of that rule, there's no way I'm refusing to serve customers not wearing masks.

But don't tell them they have fragile minds... There is irony in there somewhere.

In the US it has been the legal stance that the individual and business have the sole prerogative to enforce such a policy with rare exception. This pandemic does give state and local governments some authority for public health and safety but with legal challenges.
That said. In the US it has been the companies and individuals that have generally been in the lead in these matters. A prime example is Walmart . The corporation has made it a requirement for all customers to wear masks or be refused entry into the stores. Other companies will be following that lead. Some already have similar policies in place.

Costco US did that weeks ago and so has Krogers and a few others.

In our city everything inside from buses to grocery stores, Costco, Home Depot and the 3 Walmarts in the city, everybody have to wear masks except for legitimate health reasons.

In our area the only retailer that has consistently enforced the wearing of face coverings has been Walmart/Sam's Club.

And this is in a county that has a mandatory face mask mandate. Two of the least compliant have been Lowes and Home Depot. They both have had large signs up outside their entry doors stating that masks are required under the county mandate - they have not have anyone posted at the doors to enforce the mandate and they let people shop without any employee saying anything to them. You can also see employees with their mask hanging around their neck.

This should all change now - starting tomorrow the "code enforcement" department is supposed to step up the enforcement and start handing out fines to people without a face covering on inside of a building that is "open to the public".

We will see how that goes.

As a side thought on this, we have a brother in our congregation that works for codes enforcement and will be one of those to be handing out those tickets.

Our city mask requirement went into effect yesterday. Saw a man in grocery store today - No Mask, even though there was plenty of signage in several places coming into store.

It was deliberate flaunting of the requirement.  He had a lip piercing, and sour look on his face.  I think he would be one to get violent if refused service. 😠🤬

Not in this case. He was estranged from his family ( they didn't even know where he was ) for years and lived in area for several years and neighbors did not know him, except that he was antisocial.
