Portuguese can be so stuburn…

He said the Plateau-Mont-Royal borough cited Quebec’s new law on public prayer, which prohibits organized public prayer in certain public spaces under the province’s secularism framework introduced in April.

Eph. 3:20 “Now to the one who can, according to his power that is operating in us, do more than superabundantly beyond all the things we ask or conceive”

I never heard about this, despite the fact that it was happening right under my nose. I'm not too familiar with the Portuguese community, but I've heard lots about the Quebec government imposing their laws (about language [French must take precedence], about public prayer [generally not allowed], about secularism [clothing that identifies one's religion], etc) on the population. Of course, those laws have no effect on Jehovah's Witnesses, but I can easily see why it would introduce problems for other religions. I known only a little bit about the Portuguese people who live here, fanning the flames whenever the Portuguese teams are playing in an end-of-season match, or this procession. Yes, they can be a stubborn bunch.

Yes. I know because I’m Portuguese 😅

Well, good news ... We never needed to be on the list that members of the military say is their religion of choice.

We don't need to be on the list ~ but we made the list!

Senator Lee from Utah isn't happy that the LDS was left out of the 'Christian' section.  But we are there!

What is this list again? I’m out of context here 😊

It’s a list the US military keeps in order for clergy inside the military to provide “spiritual support” to military members who want it.

I really don’t see why any country’s military would want to recognize our religion in this way… it makes no sense to me. If you’re a member of the military you should definitely not be identifying as a Witness.

While that may be so, what about their spouse?

We don’t have chaplains in the US military… this list is solely for the purpose of getting ministers in to see military members. I can’t imagine elders going to see military members, for an infinite number of reasons.
