In our area I see a lot more men sporting beards than a few years ago so our statistics are higher.  Even noticing those in the media including film industry increased in men with beards.

There is nothing wrong. It's irrelevant. The same as one day you may wear blue trousers and the next day you wear black or brown, brothers may decide to grow a beard some months and go shaven other months. It doesn't really matter.

We have 12 elders, nine with very handsome beards. 🥰 I can think how many servants, but more with than without. 

 

Most of our visiting speakers- and our CO - wear the beard also.

LOL.  I hadn't seen that type yet, but wouldn't mind trying it.   I was reluctant as I hadn't seen that style yet on anyone.  I asked someone from another state who I know and they hadn't seen it either... 😄

I started growing a beard a couple of months ago and it is a little thin. I let the ends of my moustache grow out to help fill in the gap and it got pretty long. The soul patch grew faster than the rest of the beard and it got long and triangular. The mustache and soul patch are white, but the rest of the beard is mixed. Some may say that the long mustache and patch made me look a little devilish. 

I decided to trim it up, so it looks cleaner now.

Tell your friend to review the GB update where beards were allowed. If my memory serves me correctly , we were told Jehovah loves variety. A handle bar mustache is " Variety". If it resonates with proper bible trained  conscience..do it !  Who cares if others have not  seen it done or not. 

 Its not breaking Jehovah's laws. Handle Bar it up ! 

  If your friend  has  negative remarks. View it as remarks. 

 I know a brother who loves bow ties. Others in the hall made fun of him and he quit wearing bow ties. It always annoyed me because bow ties made him happy. But because he got made fun of- He wouldn't wear them and will not wear them. Handle Bar moustache nor Bow ties break Jehovah's Laws.

 

Side note : In admiring Jehovah's creatures....Have you seen an animal  with a handle  bar moustache ? I have.  I think those animals look cool. Jehovah designed that feature in that animal. He 

apparently thought it looked good too.  I hope your friend grows the handlebars. 😁

I think that is a handlebar mustache.   If you google search "horseshoe mustache", that is more what I was thinking.   I don't want to try to be a tough guy, because I'm not.
