Another snapshot of Jehovah's Universe, taken by Yuri, in Chile:  

 

 

These nights Orion constellation rises in the second half of the night and it means - nebulae time ! smile emoticon The image below is the result of our own observations together with Igor Chilingarian (Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics) at the Clay telescope at Las Campanas observatory in Chile. We used wide-field near-infrared imaging camera and multi-object spectrograph MMIRS to obtain this unusual view of M43 nebula. What you see here is a two panel mosaic actually. This is an amazing object, although it has always been in the shadow of much more famous M42 Great Orion nebula. I like history and anything important pertaining to it. These are some important pictures in the history of photography (and recent history of mankind). It's bad that so many of the remarkable photos in history are catching such depressing landscapes. I'll try to find some with a positive message to balance things.
