What's the Weather like where you live?

Recommended Posts

Northern NJ

inconsistent daily from cold, to hot - cool then back to muggy

Trees get confused and no black walnuts on the trees in our area(s)

says it could be weather related or - the tree is alternating - which the tree

in the backyard NEVER alternate - was always consistent!  I am kind of glad

though - you have to wear a helmet doing yard work!  😱

Has been raining here since Thursday. Today, not so bad, but weather reporter said "headache days." My Bible student yesterday (has high leg amputation) had difficulty with extreme phantom limb. We postponed her study. Spoke to her today, she feels better. I brought a box of recyclables to local family donation center today and knocked my back asunder. Could be worse. Using a cane. Doc has prescribed me some med for musculo-skeletal, which I rarely take, but may take one half tonight if no relief. Reports from my Florida relatives that they are all okay, but some have been evacuated.  Hope your weather is bearable. YS

Cool day and happy to be still dragging around on a cane (rather than having this back ache put me in hospital.) It being October,(in NY) I was hoping to get home and into some cotton flannel jammies, but it was still so hot inside, I had to put air conditioner back on. Have gotten a couple of boxes donated. Haven't finished unpacking since moving due to arm surgery with screws, and this back problem. May have to go back into PT for this back. Was on phone all morning trying to straighten out health insurance and a change may limit my PT appts. It's always something. Some of my Florida relatives have been evacuated. Hope your weather is tolerable.

The weather is totally crazy here in Oklahoma

We have tornadoes bouncing around all over!!!!

Weather sirens have been going off!

More like spring weather on November 3rd

This is a small amount of what has happened so far

Will get more of the same tonight through tomorrow

Up until yesterday we have had rain, heavy at times and it has been cool.  I donned jeans last Friday due to the cool weather.  Yesterday was fine and sunny probably got up to around 26-28C.  Its predicted high 20s here for the week.  Spoke with a friend in Adelong yesterday and they had high 30s too.  We had high temperatures at the beginning of spring.  Crazy weather everywhere.

According to the news, we were in for an adventure, this last week or so. “Cyclone bomb, and, um a, sky river”.
sounded pretty dramatic. We had one field service meeting, and one meeting,on Zoom,  to keep us safe.

We did have more than the usual rain, (for this time of the year) and, yes, wind. A tree went down here on the property we live on.
Flood warnings here and there, and some evacuations in low laying ground. But that was about it. The national news was in Eureka. Bet they were disappointed.

I want to age without sharp corners, and have an obedient heart!

In Eastern North Carolina, droughts almost every year here.  40 miles from the Atlantic Ocean and we don't get enough rain.  2024 has been the worst yet.  Cornfields dried up before the harvest.  Planters are hoping they can just break even this year the last I heard.

Of course, everyone has heard about Hurricane Helene hitting Western North Carolina.  That area has never been so devastated by a Hurricane as far as I know.

Climate change is devastating.

It’s only a winter storm “watch” for now, but being right next door to Lake Superior, (open water) it can change rather quickly.

Looking at your map reminds me of the time we spent in early 90s serving where there was need in Central Western NSW.  Witnessed at a lot of those towns/villages seen in the map.

Sydney Airport was officially the hottest place in the world as NSW battled an early start to summer.

{40C = 104F}

Think of our poor team filming on set!
