Updates to JW Library (iOS, Android, Windows)

Has anyone else noticed a difference in highlighting since the last update (to Android)? Highlighting is slower to respond and much less responsive in general ( harder to get it to start and stop where I want it to). Just curious if anyone else is experiencing this? 

 

When I tried to download the update for the BE book, the app froze on me 3 times. Had to close and restart the app, 3rd time it finally showed it updated. Might have to clearmy JWL cache and restart my tablet and see if that helps.

It's happening to me also. Even worse, a sister in my hall couldn't highlight the current chapter of kr book. On the previous and after she could do it with the same issues you mentioned, but on this specific chapter not a single time...

On my Win 10 tablet the app now crashes continuously.

I disinstalled it and installed it several times but now way... It crashes during the start-up

My wife downloaded the updated kr book, and afterwards it wouldn't allow her to highlight chapter 2 for this week's meeting. Curiously enough, she can highlight any of the other chapters, just not chapter 2.

I can highlight chapter 2 of the KR on my android JWL ver 1.7..4063 but i have to press on the screen a little longer than usual to start the highlight.

On my recalled, replacement Green Battery that might get recalled again device,🤐 I notice I start moving finger and I can start highlighting without palette... just don't know if that's deliberate or bug

The highlighting is great help sis Shali, i mess my hands by the ruler... It doesnt matter anymore :-)

You might have to remove all mention of the app from your computer registry.  Did you use a program to uninstall it?  If so, did it have a "powerful scan" to delete registry entries option?

I didn't have a problem highlighting chapter to in the kr book but it did take a while!  Everything was slower and harder to control.  Same with my Watchtower study for this week.  I was so frustrated by the time I finally finished.  It HAS to be a bug from the last update - hopefully it will get sorted out soon.

JW Library app for Windows 10 just updated (version 8.1.6168.0).  It was available on my desktop computer and my Windows tablet.

This feature is there for a long time.  I noticed for the first time when using the pen on my Asus zen tablet,  but then I could use the finger also.  You have to press a bit first and start moving before the menu appears.  But it's harder to do with the finger than the  pen

JW Library for iOS has an update (8.1.1) with some bug fixes and improved app performance.

I'm updating right now. 106 MB seems pretty heavy for just bug fixes...

I have the same problems with underlining. Grumpy won't even try it anymore, he uses Moonreader Plus to study. But I prefer JWLib. Hope they fix it soon.

I reverted back to iBooks. Never had highlighting issues on JW Library for iPad, but still need the notes feature. Until it's rolled out in JW Library, it's back to iBooks.

The Meetings tab is causing problems for me.  After tapping it, it will freeze for a moment, then the app will close.  Also the media button will do the same.  Not every time, but sometimes.

Also noticed that the songs don't appear in the media button for the new songbook.

I am looking at the Jan. 2 – 8 MWM page with song 147 as the first song. I can tap on it and bring up the music sheet.

I having trouble with bookmarks in the KR book too, I double tap and IF the symbol,appears it disappears before I  can tap it! Now all the new orchestral songs (With the new image that was released after the new songbook) I downloaded are in pending updates for some reason and if I go to update them, the app crashes! UGHHH!!!
