Can any tell / see if the group of brothers in the one picture are the same group that are in the middle-background of the picture with Jesus and the angels?

In the second picture the older couple is not there.(apologies if the pictures post overly large, don’t know how to make them smaller using iPad).26497803-95E2-4BC1-BA58-47E5F342AB67.thumb.png.ab0e39a4b686a25e6cf35428e4701d84.png14361ED5-6C01-4AC8-A4E9-A780128A3842.thumb.jpeg.48097a9077218175675ffd93c26f7424.jpeg

I think, they are on a very right side.

Man was created as an intelligent creature with the desire to explore and understand :)

Let me correct myself. I meant the couple is not in the first picture  🤪. But, I still don’t see the older couple in the picture without the military figures.  Am I missing something?

Yes, we will continue to preach, and during GT our message will likely change to from good news to "bad" news

May I share what our CO said this Sunday during his talk?

He said, we do not preach ..now we try to teach,  and if someone does not respond we move on ..simply there is not much time left, we do not have years brothers.
(don't know if that was in his outline, but it was shared during his concluding talk)

My CO said we're only looking for those that are rightly disposed. Don't even leave a contact card if you say I'll come back and they say "that's OK" ... Don't leave anything...

There are thirteen Brothers and Sisters in each picture. In the picture with Jesus and the Angels the Elderly couple are in the far right as @New World Explorer said. In the picture just with Witnesses the older white lady is to the left and back of the young black brother with glasses or above and to the right of the little girl. The older black brother the third face to the right of the older white sister (between the young black sister and the young Oriental sister). Does that help?

If I understand it correctly, Jeroboam and his family became wicked and eventually turned apostate. Only Abijah had something good in his heart towards Jehovah.

We also need to bear in mind that Abijah was part of a dedicated and "baptised" nation.

But our discussion still helped me to see things from a different angle. I am more hopeful now that I was a few days ago.

One factor we must keep in mind is that Jehovah doesn't wish to destroy anyone, what he wishes desperately is to save as many as possible. So as long as he sees something good in one person, he won't destroy him. That's the point I was trying to highlight in the example of Abijah. It doesn't matter if they were dedicated or not. Abijah grew up in a family of apostates. Besides, he was a small child so surely he was not a fervent worshipper of Jehovah. And yet Jehovah saw something good in his heart and decided to give him another chance.

Jehovah is not a God of strict rules. Of course he wants us to dedicate ourselves to him and show this by baptism. But the ceremony of baptism in itself cannot be the factor that decides whether we are saved or not. I mean, if you have an accident and die on the way to your baptism, would Jehovah reject you because you couldn't make that step? That doesn't make sense. He only requires that we are loyal to him and do our best. Of course that includes progressing to baptism if at all possible. And he promises that the children of those who love him are "holy".

Daydream -

Scientists have discovered that daydreaming is an important tool for creativity. It causes a rush of activity in a circuit, which connects different parts of the brain and allows the mind to make new associations.

Its possible that in the direction from FDS, on how to deliver an outline ..there was something along those lines ....

”Present information stressing real urgency of times”

Various CO’ s would give different spin on it.

We just had the CO last week. Anticipating any new appointments will be announced tonight.

Our CO had nothing to say about the urgency of the days we are in. His talk on Tuesday was about the spirit of this world, and his concluding talk was about gossip, starting a fire with the tongue.

He made no reference whatsoever to the small amount of time that remains.  It was anticlimactic to say the least.

Why would we not want to get the contact card into the home? That makes no sense ... urgency is fine ... but we still do what we are taught to do. No?

Leave a card if there is some interest. Do not leave a card just to leave something behind.

Our original instructions when we got the cards was not to leave them at Not-Homes (just person-to-person...to further a perceived interest).

That person demonstrated no interest! We are not to waste resources of any sort on unappreciative individuals. Even though the contact costs less than a penny per card...this is the Slave's direction...we must be willing to adapt...

Ouch! Ok ok ... get off me! I understand now: No card for you ... good day ... I said good day!
Seriously, I’ve tried to simply say, in case you are curious or would like to know more about what we believe, can I leave this little card with you. I didn’t mean that to be contrary to the Slaves direction ... Now I know. Forgive me please and thank you for the correction.

I do the same and many in my congregation as well. We also use them in business territory and informal witnessing. I am very interested in seeing where FDS has said we shouldn't. Wasn't that the whole purpose of them, or am I confused?

Ouch? My bad! Not my intent! Guess I should have "spoken" with less my enthusiasm...I did wink to try to soften my excitement ...therefore I shall wink again! Soon we will be winking together on the other side! Much love

Here are the written instructions:

*** mwb16 October p. 8 Are You Making Good Use of JW.ORG Contact Cards? ***

LIVING AS CHRISTIANS -- Are You Making Good Use of JW.ORG Contact Cards?

In view of the approaching great tribulation, our preaching work is urgent. (Pr 24:11, 12, 20) To help people, we can use contact cards to direct their attention to God’s Word and to our website. The card contains a code that leads to the video Why Study the Bible? and an invitation to request more information or a Bible study. Some people are not inclined to accept literature but are willing to visit our website. Do not hesitate to give them a contact card. However, do not leave contact cards with those who show no interest.

Thank you! Glad to know I'm not going against FDS!
