The Mysterious Coronavirus Spreading Worldwide

Recommended Posts

Lockdowns do prevent the spread of disease, yet, it keeps healthy people enclosed with infected people, putting healthy people at risk.

People have no reason to leave their confines to ventilate.

What the US needs to keep doing is banning large gatherings, and keep discouraging needless social contact by inundating us with accurate information about the spread of this virus.

I’m not subscribed, and I can read it.

Anyway, it says that Germany will shut the borders with Austria, Switzerland, France, Luxembourg and Denmark, and that it will come into force at 8am on Monday.

There are now 45 cases in Michigan.

Nothing’s been said about Upper Michigan.

But that doesn’t surprise those us of us that live here, because it’s like we are none existent.

LANSING, Mich. (WLUC) - UPDATE: In a Sunday evening press conference, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer stressed the importance of social distancing and remaining calm as there are now 45 cases of COVID-19 in Michigan.

There are at least 12 new presumptive positive cases in Michigan, but no details have been released yet about where the new cases were reported. As of Saturday night, there were no positive tests reported in Upper Michigan. More tests are being run Sunday evening, with new numbers and details to be released Sunday night.

The governor also said the gaming control board is working to close casinos temporarily.

She did not announce that bars and restaurants need to close their dining rooms, as Ohio and Illinois' governors did Sunday, however she didn't rule that out from happening soon.

Not fear mongering in this vid. Just reasonable conclusions based on available stats. There's one concerning point for me - is that younger and younger people are contracting the virus and ending up in ICU.

Perhaps another mutation?

If the two articles from The Thai Medical News (posted by Judy O on the previous page)

turn out to be true and factual,

we are most definitely living in the LAST of The Last Days.

I really think it can be dangerous to make knee-jerk decisions like this, without considering the consequences, like people flooding the bars and restaurants before they're taken away from them, resulting in the opposite of what he wants, and increasing the amount of people having no choice but to flood the grocery stores (huge crowds) as delivery will be severely taxed to where wait times will be impractical and unbearable.

Too many politicians make decisions that they think will make them popular.

That is your right, but we should also not be quick to blame the government. We are armchair quarterbacks here and most of us are not in consultation with medical professionals.

This situation will be easier on those who have more rural property or who live far away from neighbors. At least they will be able to step outside, unlike city or apartments dwellers.

My step son, who is expecting his first child in July, is a bar manager at Friday's.  This will impact his livelihood.

I was expecting this sooner, actually.  It makes perfect sense to restrict gatherings in restaurants where food is prepared and consumed.

We all agree that large groups should be limited or banned, but do we agree on the definition of large group?  Is 25 large?  50? 100? What about a restaurant that seats 200?

It doesn't help ghat each state, each government, is making their own rules.  We can see the disunity and it troubles us.  Which government is right?  Which is wrong?  Which decisions are draconian and overboard and which ones are too lax and inefficient?  Helps all of us to see the Kingdom is the only perfect solution.

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.

I was very sick the end of January. Was sent home from work with a prescription in hand for Augmentin. Cough syrup, decongestant, shortness of breath, was to alternate Tylenol with ASA. Fever of 102.4. Slept between periods of coughing till exhausted.  Went back to work after 7 days because I had no PTO.  Worked a day and a half and sent home with Cipro.  Off another 5 days then back to work. This time Augmentin repeated and a HHN machine at bedside and rescue inhaler. I had a doctor that heard my coughing at work and was kind enough to see me in a vacant room at work (skilled nursing facility/LTC) and said I probably had pneumonia.  Thing is it has been 5 weeks and that cough is still present. My husband thinks I had it and it just was not properly dx since it was not at the forefront at that time.  I had pneumonia a few years ago but not that intense.

My son and his wife and 5 yr old live in Xiam China and he can work from home and go out occ for groceries. The girls have not been out of their apartment for 7 weeks now.

My son actually posted on FB re: their confinement. He said when forced to spend 24/7 x 49 with your spouse and only child you find out alot about not only them but yourself.  'All in all, I can report that there are no two other people I would rather be quarantined with.'

I watched a podcast today by Ben Sharpiro on the corona virus that made it easier for me to wrap my mind around. Never have heard him speak before but I feel like I did not waste my time after he was through speaking.

I thought it said 50.8 for a sec. Wondered how that would work then clicked.
