Oh man, I had to go look up Russian Orthodox, when looking it up it discussed all the orthodoxies,  wow. They are truly messed up. They are individually governed and have different beliefs.

This one, as well as 3 times immersion of infants for baptism(!) Poor babies, how traumatic for those little ones. Ok so this one is🙄 The Orthodox believe that by the consecration the bread and wine are truly changed into the Body and Blood of Christ. Communion is given in a spoon containing both the bread and the wine and is received standing.

Ok, so is this how Jesus did it? Oh man, they are so far from anything that resembles truth. Can't imagine how disgusted Jehovah is.

That’s a millennia-old catholic belief. You really never heard that? I imagine when the Eastern Orthodox Church broke from Rome they just kept it.

But that describes literally all of Christendom apart from Roman Catholic Churches 😅

They all have different beliefs from each other but claim they are somehow united in... something.

Not at all. We are witnessing a communist (leftist) revolution in the West. They experienced total coalapse of moral values, no God, no churches, all purely down to biology and evolution as explanation for everything. Russians had its Soviet version for decades and they are vetted. In many areas there is more freedom in Russia than in the West. You can say what you think about everything but the Governement but in the West you cannot say everything about homosexuality, people of other races and so. We are subject to political correctness. That is all.

people of other races

Why would we want to say anything about people of other races?  I don't understand why this is an issue.

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.

Reversed racism, for example. Here in the UK, where I live there are people who exploit their race. For example, there are some who don't work as they should and to the standard they should but nobody is going to say anything becasue they are scared to be accused of racism. Sometimes even police use double standards when dealing with other races, for example there was a big case with Pakistanis who groome teenage girls and the police did nothing for years becasue they were scared of being accused of racism.

Are you sure? My understanding is that people in Russia face legal and social challenges not experienced by non-LGBT persons.

No matter what government - so called freedom is limited equally in the East and West.

President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia on Monday signed a law that could require anyone distributing information and being paid from abroad to register as a foreign agent. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/12/02/world/europe/russia-foreign-agents-law.html

None of that is any business of ours though. Its not for us to fix. Jehovah has it all in hand. Best to just leave the world to their nonsense in the meantime.

Yes, I am sure. As long as you stay away from the governent and you do not cause any threat to them you can say whatever you like. I am not saying they have more freedom than we have. Our freedom is restricted in different areas.

Well that’s obviously not true. source: jw.org > news > russia

Pesectuion of other non-native or non-traditional religions is another story. We are not the only one religion being persecuted in Russia and it is back to a man who happened to be Putin's advisor on sects and religious movements. And that has links to France. It is an interesting story.

Sometimes I can get wrapped up in my research.  I get on a tangent and it leads me down a rabbit hole of information. But then I have to reason...Russia has it's own agenda,  it can have a ripple effect on other countries but how much does it affect me as one of Jehovah's people. Not now but maybe later, so I'll deal with it then. What Putin wants for his country is his business.

I guess I'm a person that just let's things go as they will. Jehovah is driving this train, whatever happens is in harmony with what he decides and when he says it's done then its done.

I suppose I'm not a theorist,  but a realist.

No one can say in advance. That's why each one will be tested. Many brothers here are now practising what they had been preaching from the stage.

...absolute rubbish...
