It is not about the guy. It is how his attitude, behavior and influence drive the situation into a conclusion.

No. Jehovah does that ... all on his own.

There was a movie from 1983 called "The Day After".

The Day After, Testament, and Threads are probably the 3 best  post-nuclear war "what if" movies ever made.

Is that the NZ movie? Or something else?

Oh no that was Last Man on Earth with Bruno Lawrence  ... turns out he wasn't the last man, so a bit misleading.   😄 🤣 😂 😄 🤣 watched it decades ago.

Actually the title was The Quiet Earth. Similar thread of thought.

At the risk of contributing to OT, my favorite was "On The Beach", not as good as the book but it well portrayed the dismal reality of nuclear war. We had just gotten married at the time and it darkened my day even though we knew that was not our future. In those days the cold war was very real. We didn't have go bags, we had bomb shelters.

I am not sying I am Superman, I am only saying that nobody has ever seen Superman  and me in a room together.

Yes!

That takes me back. I remember Fred Astaire in a racing car in Australia and gas was only used for sport. Terrible advertisement for Coca Cola.

Thank you for the archive and its link, Brother Percy. I didn't know this movie.

Jehovah normally used people according to their tendencies and traits like Judah, Benjamin and so on....

Yes and this time the prophecy identifies the UN as the entity he will use, but unlike now, Satan won't be in control. It's very exciting, we shall see Jehovah’s hand in behalf of his name, and his people.

If you are looking for an 'old, old' movie, append your search with archive.org and you might find it there.

Great site for old bibles and related texts as well.

Here is C D Ginsberg's Massorah quoted in the NWT mentioning the 134 cases the Masoretes altered the Tetragrammaton to Adonai: https://archive.org/details/Ginsburg_The-Massorah-Compiled-from-Manuscripts_1880-1905/page/n2018/mode/1up?view=theater&q=Tetragrammaton (Paragraph 115).

The day after - I remember that film, very shocked me in my childhood.

I think it was the only one US film shown on Soviet TV during a Cold War.

Threads - realistic, On the beach (1957, 2000) - too polished

But most shocking for me is Dead Man's Letters (Tarkovskiy-like) that has taken many international prizes

There is on youtube with english subs

This was such a way of thinking that anyone who chose to go against it really revealed their heart was not complete toward Jehovah.

Thank you for your answer

Respectfully, I think that describing some things as "not exemplary" is subjective (as opposed to based on Scripture)

I mean that we are already following principles that make us different from the world, such as our views on morality and sexuality, our neutrality, our refusal to celebrate certain holidays, etc

If we add to these things already we could feel weighed down like the Jews were weighed down by the Pharisees and their additions to the Mosaic Law

If someone doesn't transgress any of the Scriptural principles but does something that is deemed "not exemplary" because somebody else's conscience wouldn't agree with their decision or action, is it really fair to say that their heart is not complete towards Jehovah?

I think that is why the GB has been making changes to our organizational policy lately, like removing the mandatory hour reporting or allowing beards and slacks for women. Guided by the holy spirit, they realized that these policies weren't based on Scripture, but instead something that's based on our conscience

I never even had any problem of this sort in my congregation, it's something I've noticed only on this forum by reading some testimonies and anecdotes about congregations imposing some policies that aren't based on Scripture

I know that the elders have the God-given authority to shepherd the flock the way they think is best, and I would never encourage to disobey the elders. But I think it's healthier to talk about it and see how we can improve individually

Just now all the congregations in Ukraine have got emergency annoncement from Bethel.

Till the end of week in-person meetings and all public, house-to-house meetings are banned. Only zoom on all the territory of Ukraine. Also reminders about  emergency suitcase etc...

Take care, brother

It’s more than about conscience.
Exemplary means that one is living a life that can be followed as an example. Sadly, not all in the congregation do.
I don’t have all the info the elders do in determining who is and who isn’t but here are some things that might be part of it:

Meeting attendance.
Participation in the ministry

Dress and grooming

Entertainment

Dating tendencies and marriage.

Do we remove from the congregation those whose dress and grooming isn’t modest?  Or who only show up to meeting here and there? Or who you never see in the ministry? Or who regularly watch violent or immoral movies? Or who date unbelievers, constantly flirt or are known to have regular marital issues?

No

If that is their behavior, are they examples to follow?

No

Therefore being exemplary involves more than conscience matters.

Jer 29:11-“For I well know the thoughts I am thinking toward you, declares Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not calamity, to give you a future and a hope.”

Psalm 56:3-“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”
Romans 8:38-”For I am convinced...”

There was just a meeting. There was an announcement to stop the door-to-door and cart preaching for the rest of the week.

Excellent post.  Elders have a heavy responsibility to treat the flock with kindness, patience and forgiveness.

But when they look :detective: at a brother as to using him, their decision will be subjective.  How can I say that?  Well, if a brother isn't being used where he is, the brother could go somewhere else and be used.  The local BoE will make their own decision on these kind of things.
