The Bible says “…whenever it is they are saying…” “sudden destruction is to be instantly upon them.

 

The scriptures are clear and leave no room for private interpretation. “are saying.” 

As we know, That was a future prophecy for our time. 
 

That scripture is giving us a sign to look out for to determine how close we are to seeing their destruction.

 

They have been actively say “peace and security.” The verse says again “…whenever it is they ARE SAYING..” not whenever it is they say.

 

We who believe know not to be deceived by what they “ARE SAYING” or be “asleep” because Jesus is about to destroy them. 
 

When a woman is pregnant and goes into labor, you know the baby is on the way. We know destruction is near because they “are saying peace and security.” Birth pains can last for long long hours. But when they start that’s the time to be preparing for delivering that baby. 

 

So Jehovah’s day should not overtake us as it would thieves, as mentioned in verse 4. 
 

We see the sign that Paul mentioned. We are supposed to make sure we keep our armor on, keep encouraging one another and building one another up as mentioned in verses 8 and 11.

1- strengthen the UN

2- promote world peace

3- destroy religion

4- attack God's people

5- together they will go to Armageddon but always with North American supremacy

Pretty close to what I'm thinking too.

I think it will be though more dramatic than just US/Russia making an allegiance.  I'm expecting all the Muslim nati9ns as well ... then we will know for sure Jehovah’s hand is in the mix.

All those events indicate turmoil in the world but not ww3. (Russia is hardly managing Ukraine war and cannot even take on Poland right now and if they do that would be a mayhem for Russia as Polish military is modern and strong, then we have China which makes a lot of noise but all they want is good business and economy and even if they take Taiwan that would not necessarily mean ww3)

In contrast
GT will be the time of the greatest turmoil mankind ever experienced, but Jehovah’s people will go through it calmly and with complete trust in instructions received during that time.

That is a good point, Amanda, but certainly individual states represent a wide range of political diversity and with the system of things going through many changes; even though the dual world power is foretold to continue to the end, individual parts of it are also a reflection of the 'feet of iron and clay'.

I’ve not thought of this until now but it does make complete sense, I couldn’t figure out why they appear to be working together to achieve peace… not just in the Ukraine but in the Middle East etc

That is true of situations and events leading up to Rev 17:17, but for this scripture to be fulfilled it will take ALL the Kings of the earth.

I've literally never heard of them before. Someone sent me a different article, which I posted, but I noticed it was very rude to the former President so I tried to find an article that was less inflammatory before I ran out of time to edit. Next time I'll wait until it's on a mainstream site before bothering. Sorry, everyone. If the moderators want to remove it, that's ok.
