I was following a truck hauling a boat. I had an SUV behind me and a car behind him. The boat was bouncing so hard a tire iron bounced out, bounced off the road right in front of me and flew JUST over my van, hit the pavement behind me and did the same thing to the SUV, hit the ground then bounced off the side of the road. Felt like slow motion, watched the whole thing play out. Needless to say I chased the truck down to a gas station and told the driver what happened. Nope, I wasn't overly pleasant when I told him where he could find his tire iron!

 

Saturday while driving to work with my grand girl, a truck in front of me with 4 Adirondack chairs in back, lost one. Yep lifted up and pitched over the tailgate right in front of my truck. Screaming commenced. Able to maneuver around it, luckily the ambulance behind me was able to stop and pull it off to the side. We followed the truck all the way to Ilwaco boat ramp, (ya boats again) and informed them that part of their "unsecured load"(Illegal to do) had nearly caused us to wreck and she should probably consider going back and pick up all the pieces. She was shocked, her husband could have cared less, just walked away to one of the shops. Yep, that didn't improve my mood. How can you NOT see a big green Adirondack taking flight and crashing on the road behind you?
