Palm Coast, FL, a small little city half way between St Augustine and Daytona Beach FL is getting their own little Bethel it seems.

I won't post any rumors I've heard, just the local newspaper article:

Wow interesting! Going to be used as a training facility the article said. Might be an additional location for some of the schools. Wonder if JW.org will have a news release about it soon. The property appraised for a lot more than what they got it for! Bet it's going to be gorgeous when they are finished with it!

thank you

They felt the facility was perfect for their needs,” he said. “It’s going to be a training facility very much like the FAA used.”

The facility, which has been vacant since January 2013, includes several buildings that house some 200 dormitory rooms, eight classrooms and an indoor swimming pool.

Soon .....

The RBC should fine out about it soon then would they not? May not bring in as much money as the locals hope if its for the schools. Only thing they would need is to buy food and office supplies. No outgoing products would happen.

yrs ago i lived very close to this location. Our brothers will surely stand out
next to the the Nascar fans and biker crowd that flocks there each year.

Our COBOE was told they were going to use i as an retirement village for CO's and other ex traveling overseers. Plus Missionaries that can't stay in their assignment because of age.

They have given their lives to Jehovah and have no way to support themselves in Retirement. What a loving provision this would be for them. Plus if they used the classrooms for training what a grand way to Celebrate what these missionaries and Other Brothers have done with their lives.

They sacrificed everything for Jehovah and now they will get an early reward. Living in Paradise now.

Is it a branch of Jah Jireh then? Our Jah Jireh homes in UK  www.jah-jireh.org aren't funded by our Organisation nor organised by our RBC's. They are funded by aprivate charity organisation set up by some of the brothers originally by one family who were the first Witnesses in our County at the turn of the 20th Century.   www.jah-jireh.on.ca

No this was bought by he branch. The missionaries will go home to the home branch after they retire. Some branches may not have room such may be the case with the U.S. Branch. Why not if they can buy a property in a warmer climate for the older ones?

The Jah Jirah you speak of are for Older publishers not Missionaries and COs. The branch takes them in and takes care of them.

I don't know if the small branch in UK has elderly residents. Jah Jireh UK has missionaries and retired CO's. Older publishers pay for their own care at the normal going rate for residential care homes.Legacies by others and regular registered donors pay for the Missionaries and CO's who cannot pay for themselves and didn't pay into the National Insurance system (because they weren't regular earners or resident in this country to pay 30 years NI)  to get residential care & pension paid for by the state. That's why it is a registered charity here in UK.If it were just older publishers all paying their way themselves or via the state, it would just be a business.

With the new age restrictions on these brothers who serve as C.O.'s and in other areas, it's very loving of the Branch to take care of their needs since they have no retirement fund or pensions to fall back on. It must truly warm their hearts to see how much their God loves and appreciates all they have done for him in his service!

Our branch in Canada is so big they have a special wing for our dear ones. They even help in areas they can like folding things in laundry. Stuff like that. They even have personal support workers that are Brothers and sisters that help out caring for them
