Holy stains

Recommended Posts

Since I use to carry the witnessing carts in my car, my wife noticed today that there were some mud stains in the trunk. This is how the conversation went:

She.- You have to clean these stains, and next time use a blanket.

Me.- But honey, they are holy stains. Jehovah's instruments of salvation left them. How could I dare removing them?

She.- That comment is not only silly but also contradictory. 'Holiness' means 'cleanness'. So 'holy stains' is an oxymoron. Clean them, you lazy dog!

Me.- [Awestruck] Ehhhhh...

Can you think of a reply to that wonderful reasoning or will I have to surrender to her implacable logic and clean the car? :lol2:

Tell her the ONLY way you can clean an oxymoron is using this product, that has the oxi action. Only got in NZ so she will have to wait until I send you some.

Does that work?

Oooh just thought, failing this, you could use the illustration of how Jehovah's spirit overshadowed any sin or uncleaness when transferring the life of his son to the womb of Mary, in like manner, any 'dirt' is declared clean by the righteousness of the act of the carts. Yeah?

You could tell her that as Head of the House it is your job to delegate. ...

I don't think this is going to work, and you know it.

Sorry Carlos, I'd love to help you here but the cart is not a sacred object - it's a vessel being used - when it breaks you throw it away, you won't be building a shrine to it!  Have to go with your wife on this one!

I guess I never had a chance. The dice were loaded from the start.

Even if we came up with the perfect answer, you'd still have to clean the car first...

You only think you are head of your house.  Better to obey your wife than lose your head.  A head with no body is head of nothing.

My wife likes to tease, she says I'm the head, she is the neck. (that turns the head)...silly woman..:coffee:

You're a wise man, Richard.

Since you know the outcome in advance, does that mean that free choice is an illusion? :lol2:

Some women have the power that makes you go the way they want and at the same time time makes you think  that was your choice all along :D

Fortunately my wife is not like that :)  ....hum... Or is she? :S

You still have free will but perhaps the principle in this scripture will help you...:D

(Deuteronomy 11:26-28) . . .“See, I am she is putting before you today a blessing and a curse: 27 the blessing if you obey the commandments of Jehovah your God  your wife that I am is commanding you today, 28 and the curse if you do not obey the commandments of Jehovah your God your wife and you turn aside from the way I am she is commanding you to follow today...
