If banning us in Russia puts that country in a bad light, wait until they start arresting our dear brothers and sisters.  Let the world see the Russian Government putting thousands of brothers and sisters in jail, along with children, infants and our dear older ones.  As much as the world hates the message we preach, they will still be appalled at the outright denial of human rights and the freedoms that we all hold dear around the world.  I really hope we all get to see the faces of all those who opposed us in this time of the end, I really want to see the country leaders, religious false prophets and all those who tried to stamp us out have to come to the realization that they were all wrong, and then.......destruction.  Instant removal would be too good for them.  Let them all know what they have done.  And then Jehovah will end them once and for all.   Arrogance has no place left to hide.

Look at Daniel :11:44,45. It might be a second round of letter writing.

Or despite official ban our Russian brothers are proclaiming message of judgment :whistling:

I vote what has happened to our brothers in Eritrea as second and this as third!

Eritrea is bad, but there are usually no trials involved. The brothers go straight to prison without even a false trial which is a travesty of justice. But in terms of actually having a trial with no real evidence this Russian Supreme Court Judge is taking lessons from Pontius Pilate I think.

What a grand day, the world's press reports about what has happened to Jehovah's Witnesses!  Jehovah's name being declared worldwide - and yes, everyone knows what "extremists" are and they ALL without exception know that we are not.  So a grand Witness has been given.  May Jehovah bless and encourage the brothers, especially our Lawyers that fought so couragously.

  • 2Co 2:14
  • But thanks be to God, who always leads us in a triumphal procession in company with the Christ and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him in every place!

There exists the one speaking thoughtlessly as with the stabs of a sword, but the tongue of the wise ones is a healing. Because, pleasant sayings are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and a healing to the bones.(Proverbs 12:18,16:24)

This has me in a ball of emotions - Sad vs Anger - Jehovah will handle the situation that I know and He will deliver His people as He always does. It just sickens me how the governments try to make us look the twisted ones....No surprise, they did the same with Jesus - impaling him alongside criminals.... May Jehovah be with you dear ones! I will keep you all in my prayers!

I live in a temporary reality- awaiting the day I wake up to life in the real world!

Could someone explain to me what legal ramifications did the judge cite for upholding this call to liquidate the Russian administrative center of Jehovah's Witnesses?

The judge seems to have done a Pontius Pilate - After having "Found no fault with them" like John 18:38, he has washed his hands of any responsibility and left it to others to get on punishing them Mark 15:14,15.

Question for anyone whose judicial understanding surpasses my meager comprehension....(to say the least I'm ignorant on legalities).... since the brothers have appealed the courts decision and forwarded it to the Supreme Court .... Will the decision of this court be held in limbo until after the ruling by the S.C.?

Thank You

In five days the judge will provide a written basis for his descision.

That ought a be very interesting.

Since they had no evidence to base the judgment on.

The Governing Body gave an announcement to the US bethel family at lunch today that we have been Banned in Russia and then gave a prayer that our brothers can endure.

Brother Morris said the announcement and the brother Lett said the prayer. He said this shouldn't surprise us and that we have one month to appeal and we will.

The songbook subject index has 4 songs in the Persecution section, songs 148, 149, 150, 151. I think I will memorize them first..

I have my meeting tonight.   I plan on singing out loud for the sake of my brothers who today were silenced even though temporary.    Every moment I can muster to be out in the ministry is for Jehovah's glory and all my brothers.   We are a united family, Jehovah (as many have already stated in this thread) has our back, no matter what else drops or falls upon us all.

Okay so let me get this straight:

"A young boy named Harper goes to his father and accuses his brother Christian of being mean to his sister Hope. The father asks Hope if Christian was mean to her. Hope says, "I don't know." Then their sister Faith says, "Christian did not do anything mean to Hope."

Harper though still tries to convince their father to take away all of Christian's belongings and ground him forever. The father asks him "what exactly did Christian do his sister Hope?" Harper says, "I don't know, but I'm sure he did something!" Meanwhile Christian proves that he is innocent and remains calm throughout all of the false accusations.

Later on the father decides to take away all of Christian's belongings and ground him forever. Christian now must go to his mother and plead with her to get back his belongings and gain back his freedom."

Is that how this trial went?

Well, I just read the news on our website dated today, and it looks like we're banned in Russia, yet the brothers are planning to appeal the decision.

I must admit, though I'm very aware that can nothing happen without Jehovah allowing it, I did feel a deep pain for our family, close to let down. Ok it was like "oh man."

Of course Satan is jumping up and down in glee like a spoiled kid. But his time is coming for sure for starting all this trouble in the first place!

But it's okay. It really is. For Jehovah is aware, so we will hold our heads high, for "your deliverance is getting near." (Was that quoted right?)

What we have to do now is PRAY HARD for our Russian family, and all those who are undergoing similar experiences!

Wait. Nooo, PRAY HARD for Jehovah's name to continue being made known, for indeed it is!!!!

So, will they be free to travel for the summer conventions?  Will they shut down internet access to JW.0rg site? Will the branch televise the 3 day convention on JW.org?  I would not think so but I can dream...

They would have trouble purchasing property and renting out a venue for a convention I would imagine if they are considered extremists. Another branch would handle all of the spiritual interests of the Russian brothers as they go about their work underground. No literature and buildings means the work will get harder to promote and they will have to use caution.  JW.org has been blocked from Russia since 2015, but I don't think jw-russia.org  is blocked. Jehovah will see to it that they have spiritual food at the proper time.
