JW.ORG: 1090 languages and growing!

In the last 42 months (since 11/3/2019) we have added 80 languages.  From 999 to 1079.  That is about 2 languages per month average.

Oh cool stats :)

And great to see the expansion and effort... even if many people can speak more than one language, having at least something, such as a video, or brochure, in their mother tongue available of JW.org can make a huge impression.

A long way off 2,000 languages though, but getting there.... :)

This is truly amazing! Clearly, Jehovah desires all to hear his call and to be warned of the tribulation that will soon engulf this dying system of things.

I love that many of our brothers and sisters have made the effort to learn a new language to reach others within their communities or when assigned to serve in other countries.

I'm glad I belong an organization that is doing this under Jehovah's direction.

With the decision to dissolve some language groups. even though it is wise from the Governing Body; That way we can concentrate on assisting those of our language.  However, has anyone heard of any language classes being taught? or any special initiatives that has been made in your branch territory to search out people who speak a different language?

Can you check please.

I believe Tshiluba / lua has been available on JW for a number of years already?

For example the lua language was already being linked to in January this year from this website? (see link in post below)

Br. Manfred made this comment:  (I don't know if this helps)

Language 1082: Mussey , Musei Musey is a member of the Chadic branch of the Afro-Asiatic language family. It is spoken in the Mayo-Kebbi Est, Mayo-Kebbi Ouest and Tandjilé regions of southern Chad, and in the Far North region of Cameroon. In 2013 there were about 308,000 speakers of Musey in Chad, and there were 50,000 Musey speakers in Cameroon in 2005. The language is also known as Bananna, Banana Ho, Bananna Ho Ho, Mosi, Moussei, Moussey, Musei, Mussoi or Mussoy. It is closely related to Massa and Marba, which are spoken in the same area.
