So I just bought a new Samsung smart tv. I'm not very computer savvy.

Could anyone tell me if there's a way to get the jw broadcast channel? I've done a search but get nothing. What the trick? I understand not all devices like my Samsung tv have it readily available. Is there a way around that?

I would appreciate any help here. Thanks

I use a Roku with my smart TV, but my smart TV is three years old and may not be as smart as yours.

If the "smart" tv didn't include jw broadcasting it's not very smart.

So, if it's the only and simplest way....I may have to hook up my old Roku player again. I was hoping I wouldn't need it.

Connect the Smart TV to the Internet either by plugging thetelevision directly to your router or by setting up the television'swireless connection. Most users wirelessly set up their television. To set up your television's wireless connection, use the remote to go to Menu, then Network, and then Network Settings. - http://www.ebay.com/gds/How-to-Browse-the-Internet-on-a-Samsung-Smart-TV-/10000000205276633/g.html

Unfortunately some "smart tv's" do not come with a built-in web browser. I was surprised to find that some high end Vizio's do not. My BIL has one and he still needs Roku.

My VISIO requires Roku.

My older Visio doesn't have a browser but it does play videos, so I usually download the video to a USB drive and play it on the TV.

I bought an inexpensive Micro HDMI to HDMI cable for my laptop so I could experiment with JWL on my TV, it works very well.

My son is an expert on computers.  He bought a chromecast for me and I used it on my living room TV.  I later bought a ROKU because it has everything right there.  My son also gave me a 73" TV for the living room and I bought a computer and hooked it to the TV with an HDMI cable.  I moved the ROKU into the master bedroom, moved the chromecast to the guest bedroom so that my grandson could use it when he visits, and use the computer in the living room.  I installed Watchtower Library and JW library on the living room computer.  I can play the songs for the meeting right on the 73" TV and do all kinds of research from the comfort of the living room.  I am teaching my wife to use the ROKU and the computer so that she can do those things also.

I just did not know where to break that paragraph.
