I am in tears . I’ve prayed for these brothers and sisters ( often by name ) for many years. Paulos Eyassu, Isaac Mogos, Negede Teklamarium most of all.( As I have their names memorized)! And the e re at from a list. I cannot imagine how these dear ones will adjust after so long imprisoned. I also ( suspiciously) wonder why this is happening now? Is it related to the Civil war in Ethiopia? Or is something happening on a global scale that we do not yet know about?

This news is absolutely amazing!! ♡♡♡

I've also been praying for them by first name, when I learned they were imprisoned, for over 20 years at that time. Funny story, last several days they were on my mind more than usual. I was speaking with Jehovah, petitioning and giving all the reasons why their trial had to come to an end. Last night I spoke to my husband about my prayers and what more I could say, as I had already given Jehovah several valid reasons why this matter had to come to a close. Woke up this morning and found out they were suddenly released! With no beauracracy or lengthy procedure - just released suddenly! Made me think of Joseph in prison, and how we never know what can happen. ♡♡♡

Currently, our jw.org  lists 7 countries by name , and "other lands" , for a total of more than 165 brothers and sisters incarcerated.

Wouldn't it be thrilling if Jehovah was securing their release because the Great Tribulation was about to start?

We will all keep watching closely for the latest developments.

This is awesome news. I have tears in my eyes while at work. What a brilliant day this is for not just them but all of us that have prayed for them over the years. Today or rather yesterday is going to be a good day and one to remember for a long time. Thank you Jehovah 😀

Micah 4:5 ......"we, for our part, shall walk in the name of Jehovah our God to time indefinite, even forever."

John 15:13 "No one has love greater than this, that someone should surrender his life in behalf of his friends."

He Learned From Prisoners

A man came to Norway as a refugee from Eritrea in 2011. When Jehovah’s Witnesses called on him, he told them that he had met Witnesses in his homeland. He said that while he was in the military there, he had seen that Witnesses who were imprisoned for their faith...

In a sudden turn of events, the man himself was put in prison. There he found himself with three Witnesses—Paulos Eyasu, Negede Teklemariam, and Isaac Mogos—who had been incarcerated for their faith since 1994.

While in prison, this man saw firsthand that Jehovah’s Witnesses live by what they teach. He noted their honesty and that they even shared their food with other prisoners.

This experience made a deep impression on this sincere man, and after settling in Norway, he wanted to find out why Jehovah’s Witnesses have such strong faith. Thus, when the Witnesses contacted him, he immediately began to study the Bible with them and to attend their meetings.

In September 2018, he was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

I can only imagine how this brother now feels. His heart must be overflowing with praise and thanks to Jehovah. The shouts of praise and sayings of gratitude to Jehovah from his heavenly and earthly children!!

BREAKING NEWS | Eritrea Releases 28 Jehovah’s Witnesses From Prison

On December 4, 2020, 26 brothers and 2 sisters in Eritrea were set free after being imprisoned for their faith. They have spent between 5 and 26 years in prison. All have maintained uncompromising integrity to Jehovah God. As a worldwide association of brothers, we rejoice over this development. At the same time, we will continue to keep the 24 brothers and sisters who remain in prison in Eritrea in our thoughts and prayers.—Acts 12:5.

1 John 4:1 "Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired statement, but test the inspired statements to see whether they originate with God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world."

Many of the brothers and sisters who are in the Tigrinja Congeration in Oslo have family who have been prisoned. We have been working with them in the field ministry and I had the priviledge of having a public talk, translated into Amahric. My wife work in the same company as family members of one of the 3 brothers who have been in prison for so long time. We send them this sms this morning and we are sure you would agree: Dear brothers, how wonderful Jehovah is. Acts 5:19 But at night Jehovah's angel opened the prison doors and led them out ....Jehovah is in control, and at his appointed time .... we are so happy on their behalf and yours. 🌹🌺🙏
