On the news here, analysts are trying to reconcile Putin's psychology in bringing in nuclear into the mix. He actually said religion and nationalism fuelling his thinking.

 

They are likening Putin to how Hitler had his own generals not able to give objective advice, and how do you stop a megalomaniac? I just thought it was interesting religion is being shown to be part of this aggression.

Russian President Vladimir Putin justified his invasion of Ukraine in part as a defense of the Moscow-oriented Orthodox church.

In his Feb. 21 speech seeking to justify the imminent invasion of Ukraine with a distorted historical narrative, Putin claimed without proof that Kyiv was preparing for the “destruction” of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.

I think we are living through somewhere between verse 43 and 44+45 right now.. (of Dan Chap. 11)

 

And he will rule over the hidden treasures of gold and silver and over all the desirable things of Egypt. Although our publication explains that the report is hailstone message, that might change.

I don't know what this report is right now (if Putin has heard it already or if it's something that he will hear later)

 

Maybe he's hearing it right now. USA and his allies are supporting Ukraine in every way possible.

If religion is part of it, then maybe USA might do something to do with the destruction of Russia's religion.

I was thinking the same actualy... but only time will tell...

We can read similar thing regarding the KOTS in Daniel 8:25 - "...and during a time of security he will bring many to ruin" Seems the same happening.

Can it be the destruction of BTG?

Because right after: KOTN attacks God´s people (he will plant his royal tents between the grand sea and the holy mountain of Decoration) and same verse 25, KOTS does the same (He will even stand up against the Prince of princes) - and both are destroyed by angelic forces after the trial ( will come all the way to his end, and there will be no helper for him. &he will be broken without human hand) .

If Russia loses this war, it will get so downgraded (economically and military) it might actually lose its KOTN status and falls into debt. It’s already spending so much money for the war.. Putin didn’t expect the war to last this long.

 

Either it loses its power and comes back years later to start pushing again or it will start an all-out attack against all nations that are against it NOW and throw all of us into something similar to WWIII.. in other words, GT.. the greatest tribulation  mankind has ever known.

This is purely a personal understanding of mine but these verse, esp. 44 seems to say that Russia will destory many... nations, not only JWs.  It seems KOTN is being singled out in the worldly scene.. as if it's acting alone. Of course, doesn't mean he's using nukes.
