2026 Governing Body Update #6

 

What do you think we'll see in Update #6?

 

Could it include:

 

- the theme for the 2027 Regional Conventions?

- the locations of the 2027 International Conventions?

- a new song?

- the 2027 yeartext?

 

When will it be released?

 

This year's updates have generally been released 6 to 7 weeks apart. Based on that pattern, one possibility is September 18, if the interval remains around 7 weeks.

 

However, I think September 25 is a stronger possibility for two reasons:

 

- In 2026, the updates have typically been released 2 to 3 weeks before they are used for the Local Needs part of the midweek meeting. Since there are no Local Needs scheduled for September and the next one is expected in October, September 25 seems to fit that pattern better.

- It would also be one week before the Annual Meeting. If Update #6 includes a new song, this would give those attending the Annual Meeting time to learn it. A release on October 2 would leave much less time.

 

For comparison, in 2025, 2025 Governing Body Update #6 was released on September 26, exactly one week before the Annual Meeting on October 4.

 

My prediction:

 

- September 18 or September 25, with September 25 being my strongest guess.

I say it would be on October 2nd, 10 days before the 15min LOCAL NEEDS. It would be available for the Annual meeting but no need to train to sing it, they could do like we do during Summer convention back in the day...

If it was consistent with the previous year, we would get Year text (year song?) + 2027 convention theme + more "international songs" + update on all the brothers and sisters in prison in the world

yeah, that's why I don't expect it before the 09/25, or even 10/02.

I would expect many infos on our brothers and sisters who suffered from many natural disasters + International conventions stuff

Most of my life I assumed that a standard “blood transfusion” at a hospital was essentially a random donor’s whole blood, after being tested for diseases. But I recently learned that is almost never true:

 

 

since a “blood transfusion” is often just a collection of red blood cells, which is now a conscience decision, does that mean some witnesses can rightly accept a ‘standard blood transfusion’ (which is not whole blood) at a hospital? If so, this is quite significant, since no congregation committee would ever be formed, the person would be in good conscience, and it would be no one else’s business
