You can Google some pictures of what the sky would look like without light pollution or otherwise, great stuff. The things Jehovah intended are not given justice in this system.

The birds dropped sunflower seeds in the garden again, here's what they grow to be. I've tried to plant them and they never look this good when I do. OK, I'll be happy with a volunteer.

Last Friday was a beautiful morning. I took this picture just before 6:30 am, from the Oregon side. I love the way the sun looks when it comes up. It's still salmon fishing season too, I tried to capture some of the thousands of boats out there but couldn't.

The catenary of the arch had to be over the span due to the wider span, and the high bank on the left side.This gives it a very graceful look.

As high as it appears, it is not high enough for many modern vessels to enter the port at high tide. At low tide, the channel is not deep to allow these same ships into the port.  NOAA ships are well accommodated. This is NOAA's Pacific Maritime Operations Center.
