Yeah, sometimes------- like Ross says, 'close enough to walk'

I think endurance and our true intentions are going to be a large part of our success in making it to the end. You can go crazy at this news (which good) but you do not want to burn out either. We don't know how long the GT is going to be - so this is really just hinting that we are quite close to the start of the GT. Remember a car with an empty fuel tank cannot go anywhere other than where it already is. We have to measure out our energy. I find the more time I put towards spiritual things, the more balanced and at peace I am. Yes, considering when the end comes is important - but it is not like I wait for it every moment or every day with bated breath. It is important to enjoy the journey, your relationship with Jehovah is going to go on for an eternity. It will and is and every day experience. Focus on building the materials that make your relationship with Jehovah and the GT will just be part of the process of this system ending. It will come and go. And you will be happy looking back that you focused most of your energies on Jehovah.

Ok yes.. Im not putting pressure...Thats why I said we  are all different.... You have less sun in the area thats one factor... The environment too.. People here are often smiling even life is hard.... When one is lonely here, they seek company.. There, people usually isolate themselves more.. Im not stereotyping but I just noticed that to  my western friends..

And there are many other factors as well... clinical depression in which u need to take medicine...  childhood background... major changes in life... etc.

But wheres the best place to be when we feel bad then? .. I hope all khall has audio tap meetings..

Of course the kingdom hall is the best place to be.

But if you really suffer in depressions, it is sometimes very very hard to even go outside the house.

I have depressions too and other things, I need strong medicaments and it has nothing to do with the sun...

So it happens often, that I am not able to leave the house.

But then I listen to the meeting by phone.

Someone who does not know how this feels, should not judge.

Quote

11 At some point, the people whose religions were destroyed may resent the fact that Jehovah’s Witnesses keep practicing their religion. We can only imagine the uproar that this might create, including on social media. The nations and their ruler, Satan, will hate us for having the only surviving religion. They will not have attained their goal to eliminate all religion from the face of the earth. So we will become the center of their attention. At this point, the nations will take on the role of Gog of Magog. * They will band together to make a vicious, all-out attack on Jehovah’s people. (Ezek. 38:2, 14-16) It can be somewhat unsettling to think about those possibilities when we cannot be certain of the exact details. However, one thing is sure: We do not need to fear the great tribulation. Jehovah will give us lifesaving instructions. (Ps. 34:19) We will be able to “stand up straight and lift up [our] heads” because we will know that our “deliverance is getting near.”

I’m so glad they included the thought that ones may vocalize their resentment towards us on social media. I have thought this very thing too! No doubt the propaganda spewed out towards us by the government, coupled with the rumors and the trend of hate speech towards us on social media, will goad the nations into attacking us.

The Hebrew word cushi or kushi is an affectionate term generally used in the Bible to refer to a dark-skinned person of African descent.

The article about the great tribulation in my opinion is the best one on the subject :)

I plan to compare it with my notes from the 2018 RC Sunday symposium,  have you had a chance to compare the article with your RC notes?

Wow i I just saw this new wt and it's making me nervous knowing how close we are I haven't been to my meeting for a least a month cause I had bad depression and anxiety.

Are you able to listen to the meetings on the phone?  Ones on the phone lines here are still counted as attending meetings.  Jehovah knows your desires and limitations. Do what you can do.  Keep focus on your relationship with Jehovah.   Keep praying to Jehovah about it, then have peace that you've done all you could do.

Wow! I listened to the study articles last night, & what wonderful articles they are!

I don’t know about anyone else but I think I really noticed things changed from about 2015/16. Yes there’s always been a sense of urgency, but It seemed to take on a more urgent tone....I noticed many articles came out on the the nearness of the GT & Armageddon...& preparing now for life in the new world. (Never noticed this much detail about the new world before then!)

Now we’re being guided on how we can prepare for the GT

Jehovah always prepares His people just at the right time so let’s keep up our spiritual routines & watch the events as they’re fulfilled before our very eyes! Wow! Exciting times indeed.....

Wow I just read this series and all I can say is.... well just Wow!  If the brothers aren't sending signals that the GT is at hand and we'd better get ready I don't know how else they could!

Totally agree. If we don’t sense the urgency, then we need a spiritual slap up  👋  wake up call ...... Seriously!

Not to hijack the thread but is this a Society instruction? I know ones in my kh listening on Skype aren't counted and it would be great to be able to add them on.

I work with a big bank and do also play golf some days with work friends. Do I need to think about my job perhaps because banking and finance is a big part of Babylon the Great. It make you think.

No, the article was talking about links to the Church i.e private school, university. Church  based organisations. Everything is going to go when Satan's commercial system collapses.

I like the point about peace and security: mayby world leaders say, Religions are an obstacle for peace and security and then they destroy them. So everything might go hand in hand very fast.

I often thought it could be like that but now its written there.

Good question for the brothers.  I know in my congregation they are counted as in attendance.  Some even comment via the phone lines.

   Apologize for continuing hijack.

We count in attendance the ones on the phone tie in

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.
