Mine is B+ ...  I think that is also about attitude type..😇

Zeph 3:17 Jehovah your God is in the midst of you. As a mighty One, he will save. He will exult over you with rejoicing. He will become silent in his love. He will be joyful over you with happy cries....... Love it....a beautiful word picture.

I'm sure the restrictions have affected how much money is being contributed. The pandemic is probably affecting how much money is being contributed to WHQ but instead of sueing the government, the GB has arranged for a part on the MWM next month and a letter thanking everyone for their contribution. What a contrast!

Jehovah has been preparing us for this on incriminates. Contributions? Before this happened, I’d made arrangements to do so, online.  Nothing has changed for me. Well, some things did, but I managed...

NY Times Covid in the U.S.:
Latest Map and Case Count https://nyti.ms/39jvJEY

"At least 909 new coronavirus deaths and 70,451 new cases were reported in the United States on Oct. 16. Over the past week, there have been an average of 56,040 cases per day, an increase of 29 percent from the average two weeks earlier.

As of Saturday evening, more than 8,141,600 people in the United States have been infected with the coronavirus and at least 219,100 have died, according to a New York Times database... "

GB Update #4 was so timely. While it does not guarantee immunity to this world situation, it is it did give us the best advice!

40 Million marker.
These are ones who were tested and came back positive.
India currently has the most reported daily cases. (I sorted the list by daily cases.)
India also appears to have half the fatalities of the US, for nearly the same amount.

Daily cases on rise. Is there a 3rd wave?

Here's a very well written article from The New York Times, I understand it was released yesterday but I just found it today. I found it extremely compelling, full of wise information. There were facts stated in there about the behaviors of people as this pandemic wears on. We are seeing some of these behaviors here on the forum as well as what we experience out in the world. They call it pandemic fatigue, and it causes us to do things that, quite possibly, many of us would not ordinarily be doing.  Please read this article, I know it is opened my eyes on many levels.

What is happening now was pretty much what they expected, the fall/winter will be tough. The weather will keep us indoors a lot more. I’m getting outside as much as I can before I can’t.

Jer 29:11-“For I well know the thoughts I am thinking toward you, declares Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not calamity, to give you a future and a hope.”

Psalm 56:3-“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”

I had to step out to Home Depot. Wore my mask. First thing I notice as I walk in, a person walking out with a little dog on their cart. Well, that happens sometimes. I walk inside and turn the corner, another person with a dog walking next to them....well, that's interesting.. About 15 minutes later I walk down an aisle and find another person walking with their dog. Very unusual. This is not normal. It seems to me that people are needing their pets for comfort, like a security blanket. By all means, if it will keep you calm and stop you from going crazy, then so be it.

This year might even be the best ever for canine companionship. More dogs are finding homes. Fewer are left at shelters. The dog economy is booming, especially for a product that sums up the whole story.

have you noticed all of the custom dog food delivery commercials lately

The sad fact is when the pandemic is over and owners return to work in the offices, some dogs will be abandoned in the shelters.

Daydream -

Scientists have discovered that daydreaming is an important tool for creativity. It causes a rush of activity in a circuit, which connects different parts of the brain and allows the mind to make new associations.

Yes.  That happened in tri-state areas(s) people who could no longer deal with them due to stress, monetary, etc.

begin to abandoned them to the shelters - sigh...now they have some pets you can share - or rent a pet!

At least deaths are still trending down (although this says nothing about lasting lung issues related to it).

Am looking into getting me a dog, similar to the one I had before.  Am alone and isolated (not just from COVID), would like to get out more, but not in crowded places.  No parks cause alone even with a dog, you can get attacked.  Standard front yard and back, and a friend's house that has lots of land to fertilize it.  But then I think of  the food shortages, and the mold found on a lot of dog and cat foods in USA.  I'll be sharing my canned string beans with him.  But my dog will continue to be with me not sent back to a kill shelter or any shelter in my neck of the woods.  It's here till kingdom come!

We know how you feel . We got a new pug almost two years after our pug of 16 years died. Great comfort in these covid days. Four weeks after we got her she is house broken. We have a tightly fenced back yard, lots of room to poop and pee, she makes full use of the doggy door.

A little light in our lockdaown.

I personally think the virus is getting weaker. Remember too, there were a lot of people who had it that barely had symptoms. Some didn’t even know they had it and only knew through an antibody test. So it’s highly possible many many more have actually had it than on record. I’m beginning to think it will go the way the Spanish Flu did, just becoming another yearly illness that you either get a treatment for (like Tamiflu) or treat at home.

Frontline hospital workers said on last night's NBC Nightly News

that they are seeing that patients are significantly sicker now, than they were

earlier in the pandemic.  (It's at the 6:20 mark)

I believe the coronavirus remains just as virulent.

The medical field is just coming up with more effective treatments.

The NY Times article I posted on the previous page says it is still a major issue. Many places going into total lockdown again. No it is not over, we must be ever vigilant.

Some posts have referred sources (like WHO) saying that pursuing herd immunity is unethical. I will not comment on the ethical aspects because that's highly subjective. But short of a vaccine, pursuing herd immunity (that is, isolating the most vulnerable people and the rest going on with their normal lives while taking basic safety measures) is probably the only way to prevent this pandemic from ruining the economy of a country. Even the richest economy in the world can't survive months of lockdown without commercial activity.

With long lockdowns less people will die of covid19, but they will starve or the area will explode in riots when millions won't have money to buy food, pay the rent or cover their basic necessities. Sweden took the herd immunity approach and they aren't faring too bad.

In any case there is no easy solution.

Should have added that the reason for their prediction was the cold weather and a more virulent mutation, combined with the flu season.

Certainly enough reasons to be more vigilant..
