The Mysterious Coronavirus Spreading Worldwide

Recommended Posts

Looks like the disease kills only the infirm or those who already had some weaknesses in kidneys or livers..hearts.

So some people even say it's just one of those 'cold's, why make a fuss over it, no big deal.

But the fact is that this virus is novel, completely new in the history of mankind, so people don't understand the true potentials this virus has, how far it can get, how powerful it might become, etc.

Car accidents and the ordinary influenza are killing more people than novel Corona but governments are scared because this virus can spread really quickly and easily and honestly, the lethality isn't that low, either. People want to have control over it before it becomes too big a monster they can't hold.

The virus may have mutated where it affects even young healthy people..

A flight attendant has it. Services trips between Seoul and Los Angles!
This is not ,”them”, and, “us”. It is, “we”.
And we need to take it personal. And wait for Jehovah’s organization to act. And, follow instructions

Do not touch your face!

I want to age without sharp corners, and have an obedient heart!

As the coronvirus goes global (many schools closed in Britain today due to visits to Italy during their half term holiday last week) do you think we will stop going to meetings for self protection? and if no-one is at our normal meeting would we get our spiritual food via JWbroadcasting so we don't miss anything? Just thinking Jehovah is always way ahead of the goings on in this world.

I honestly don't see us having meetings and such if this thing spreads. I don't see how or why we would. Streaming at home is going to be it.

Also, it was just announced the 1st community spread happened in California, so now it's happening here in the US. I'm trying to remain calm and pray, but man it's hard to not be extremely anxious right now. How do you go about daily life knowing it's around you? I really almost don't want to leave my house.

Pilgrimage in Saudia Arabia possibly suspended.

Here's a one off thought. Coronavirus is causing a lot religious meetings and gatherings to be suspended in order to stop the virus spread. What if in doing that violence ceases because there's no gatherings in panic. UN sees that religion ceasing temporarily brought peaceful times during the virus raging, and so says P&S and then bans if for good? Just speculation. Because a lot of religious gatherings are being suspended due to the virus.

Let me just say this: I do metropolitan witnessing. Let me tell you I DO NOT feel comfortable being around a whole lot of people right now. Plus, during our breaks, we go find people to talk to. We have community spread coronavirus running around now. Not comfortable with that at all. Maybe I just need to pray because I’m most fearful of that form of service right now.

China is offering a "Snitch" fee for reporting on those with virus symptoms

"The city of Qianjiang, in China's Hubei province, is awarding residents who proactively report symptoms associated with the novel coronavirus.

Any resident who reports symptoms and is confirmed to have the novel coronavirus will be awarded 10,000 yuan — or about $1,426 — according to a Qianjiang government press release."

"Meanwhile, patients who come forward and are classified as "suspected cases" will be rewarded 2,000 yuan (or $285). Those that are not immediately confirmed to have the illness upon first diagnosis will be rewarded 1,000 yuan ($142)."

There is possibly one case of community spread here in California and its possibly the first and only one in the USA, so no reason for the East coast to panic yet.

Our Conventions for the last several years have focused on preparing us to be courageous as world conditions chance. We knew this would happen. Be courageous.

CORONAVIRUS

Saudi Arabia, Thursday, February 27,  banned pilgrims from visiting Islam's holiest sites to try to contain the spread of the deadly coronavirus as the number of deaths soared in neighboring Iran and new cases were reported in Europe.

China is no longer the only breeding ground for COVID-19 as countries worry about possible contagion from other hotbeds of infection, including Iran, South Korea and Italy.

There are now more daily cases being recorded outside China than inside the country, where the virus first emerged in December, according to the World Health Organization.

Jitters over the epidemic have rocked global markets, while sports matches and festivals across Europe have been cancelled.

The US and South Korea on Thursday postponed forthcoming joint military exercises because of the outbreak, while Japan's prime minister called for schools to close nationwide for several weeks.
