Okay, before we get off track discussing the previous year texts, this thread is to guess next year's text.

Isaiah 26:20

Quote

Go, my people, enter into your interior rooms, and shut your doors behind you.

Well, here's to hoping.

Yeah, my point was no text was ever repeated except for 1935 and 1936. More of a reference check.

So my 2022 guess is 1 Tim 3:1 (But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here)

Yeah, I was thinking you posted that so we wouldn’t guess a text that had already been used.

The Hebrew word cushi or kushi is an affectionate term generally used in the Bible to refer to a dark-skinned person of African descent.

Actually, texts can be reused — The year text for 2020 and 1970 are nearly identical. Matthew 28:19. The year text for 2013 and 1914 was also nearly identical, too.

Surely, a year text from recent years would not be repeated, but from the past year, it can be reused. So we don’t know if the year text for 2022 will also be a reuse from the past year, too.

As the world returns to normal after the pandemic, we want to make sure we don't get sucked into normalcy, and lose our sense of urgency.  So a scripture like "Keep on the Watch" would be a good and timely reminder throughout the year.

Man was created as an intelligent creature with the desire to explore and understand :)
