The Russian Supreme Court issued a directive recommending that law enforcement agencies soften their treatment of religious organizations that have been ruled to be extremist, such as the Jehovah's Witnesses

Now security agents will have to prove that the believers performed "specific actions that are socially dangerous."

The "exercise of the right to freedom of conscience and freedom of religious confession, including by means of individual or collective profession of religion or conduct of divine worship or other religious rituals and ceremonies, if they do not involve evidence of extremism," is not punishable.

All things are possible with Jehovah.  The Chariot is moving ever so swiftly. We are approaching the "END" quickly.  May Jehovah free our brothers and may he act according to His Will.

https://jw-ru.blogspot.com/ - our brothers in Russia have published it too

It was the supreme court that has banned JW from Russia, considering them extremists.

It´s interesting this amendement on law, protecting JW, comming from the same ruling authority.

Keep on faith!! ❤️ Jehovah´s will will be acoumplish always.

I wonder: What will become of the many Witnesses already in prison just for attending a religious meeting or reading the Bible? Do we really think the Russian authorities are going to turn around and release them all in harmony with the Supreme Court's recommendation?

Solves the Western agent problem that Russia keep mentioning I suppose.

Now the source is far away from the west and deep into the east. 😊

No idea. Just a thought.

The brothers are probably waiting to see if the ruling translated into and significant change o  the grounds.  In principle our brothers and sisters arrêtés and imprisoned for simply worshipping should be released as no criminal activities were proven but how lkkely is that?

I guess ... that under these new amendments lawyers can ask for apeals... :shrugs:

The rights of the Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia must be fully restored.

The Russian Supreme Court made a first step in that direction. By a directive of 28 October 2021, No. 32, the plenum of the Russian Supreme Court introduced substantial changes in its directive of 28 June 2011, No. 11, "On judicial practice in cases of crimes of an extremist nature."

The most important clarification contained in the revised directive pertains to the establishment of responsibility for continuation of the activity of forbidden extremist religious organizations. The Supreme Court indicates that the ruling of a religious organization to be extremist does not prohibit its adherents to exercise their right to freedom of conscience and freedom of religious confession, including by means of individual or community profession of religion and the performance of divine worship or other religious rituals and ceremonies.
