Yes but we still don’t want to unnecessarily encourage hatred of one group against another.

We agree, I'm just saying I don't think we have a problem with this.  I've never in my life heard from the platform any particular emphasis on Jews killing Jesus (let alone tying that to modern Jews) and I've never heard the term "Christ killers" being used in the congregation - that's Christendom. I don't think we need to show any extra care because it doesn't appear to be a problem in the first place. The entire concept of being resentful to modern-day Jews for the greatest gift to mankind does not make one ounce of sense to me.

Quote

Therefore, let all the house of Israel know for a certainty that God made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you executed on a stake.” 37 Now when they heard this, they were stabbed to the heart, and they said to Peter and the rest of the apostles: “Men, brothers, what should we do?”  38 Peter said to them: “Repent, and let each one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the free gift of the holy spirit.  39 For the promise is to you and your children, and to all those who are far away, to all those whom Jehovah our God may call to himself.”  40 And with many other words he gave a thorough witness and kept exhorting them, saying: “Get saved from this crooked generation.”  41 So those who gladly accepted his word were baptized, and on that day about 3,000 people were added.  42 And they continued devoting themselves to the teaching of the apostles, to associating together, to the taking of meals, and to prayers

If the people who were directly involved in the death of Jesus were forgiven at the time, why would any reasonable person conclude it's ok to blame all Jews thousands of years later? It's utter nonsense.

Another stabbing, this time in Perth, by a radicalised 16 year old who was being monitored already as an extremist and was engaged in a state run ant-extremist program (which clearly didn’t work).

This young man sent text messages of his intent to those in the Muslim community, who contacted police about his intentions, but they were “not able to interfere, as the boy had not committed any crimes”. Until he did.

On Saturday night he went to a major hardware store and randomly stabbed a man in the back. He had already called police to say he was going to commit an act of violence, so police were quick on the scene. Though he was tasered twice, he didn’t stop lunging at the police with a large knife. And police shot him dead.

These random stabbings are becoming more prevalent as the hideous system produces more and more deranged radicalised religionists. Though they are not calling this one a terrorist attack, like the Sydney mass stabbing just a few weeks ago, it still has created unrest and uneasiness in our multicultural society.

At this age shouldn’t he be enjoying and looking forward to live his life? Radical Islam creating problems all around the world … one major incident (dirty bomb etc) and nations will realise that false religion and “normal” life cannot coexist.

Man was created as an intelligent creature with the desire to explore and understand :)

Sounds like he was suicidal and needed a cause to justify it. Look at these college kids being radicalized even supporting a terrorist group….under the guise of “free Palestine”. Their tactic is to force people to do what they want whatever that requires…..including hurting innocent people.

Parishioners stopped teen with a rifle from entering church with 60 children inside

Churchgoers thwarted a teenager armed with a rifle from entering a Louisiana church full of children Saturday in a service that was being livestreamed, authorities said.

Police were called to St. Mary Magdalen Church in Abbeville, 20 miles south of Lafayette, at 10:35 a.m. when the 16-year-old suspect tried to get in via the back door.

Around 60 children were inside the Catholic church at the time waiting to take their first Holy Communion, the church said.

Worshippers locked in Nigeria mosque and set on fire

At least 11 worshippers have been killed and dozens others injured after a man attacked a mosque in Nigeria's northern Kano state, police say.

A man allegedly sprayed the mosque with petrol and locked its doors before setting it on fire, trapping about 40 worshippers, they said.

The attack was triggered by a family dispute over the sharing of inheritance.

The perception that the world is becoming more secular and that anti-religious sentiments is obvious. This has been a huge shift even in my lifetime. Here are a few examples:

  1. Legislation and Court Rulings: In several countries, laws and court decisions have been made that are seen as secularizing forces. For instance, in the United States, the Supreme Court has ruled on cases related to the separation of church and state, such as removing religious symbols from public property or limiting religious activities in public schools.

  2. Public Education: There has been a push in many countries to maintain a secular approach to public education. This includes removing or limiting religious education or activities within public schools. The debate over evolution vs. intelligent design in the science curriculum in the U.S. is a prime example, with courts typically ruling in favor of teaching evolution.

  3. Political Statements: Some political leaders openly express secular or anti-religious sentiments. For example, French President Emmanuel Macron has spoken about the importance of secularism (laïcité) in French society, emphasizing the need to keep religious expressions out of public institutions to maintain national unity and secular values.

  4. Media and Culture: Popular culture often reflects and influences societal attitudes towards religion. Many contemporary films, television shows, and books portray secular themes or critique organized religion. This can contribute to a broader cultural shift towards secularism.

  5. Social Movements: Various social movements advocate for secularism and often criticize religious institutions. For instance, movements for LGBTQ+ rights, women's rights, and others sometimes clash with religious groups, leading to accusations of anti-religious sentiment from both sides.

These examples highlight a trend towards secularism and a reduction in religious influence in various aspects of public life.  The more the symbolic “waters”  of BTG dry up

(peoples  support), the quicker she will be eradicated.

Interesting piece on a push within the Catholic church for a return to orthodoxy

Quote

They attend confession regularly and adhere strictly to church teachings. Many yearn for Masses that echo with medieval traditions – more Latin, more incense more Gregorian chants.

Interesting. The article has this paragraph:

When we use the beach early on Sunday morning, we are not preventing anyone else from using it,” Moret said. “It is sufficiently large that we are not depriving anyone else of their rights.” The canton maintains that if someone happens to run into a baptism ceremony on a public beach, they become an unintentional witness to Christian worship. This may cause internal distress, and the state should prevent this from happening, officials say. The canton argues religious activity should be restricted to the private sphere.

This goes along with the world being so sensitive to words that may offend them. One group manages to trample on the liberty of another while fighting for their rights.

By that logic everything should be private. Everyone go home and do what you like in your own house.

Does anyone know if carts are allowed here?

Jer 29:11-“For I well know the thoughts I am thinking toward you, declares Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not calamity, to give you a future and a hope.”

Psalm 56:3-“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”
Romans 8:38-”For I am convinced...”

The mention of John Calvin is interesting because he was responsible for burning this man at the stake: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Servetus

One 'church' source said this: 'John Calvin was a highly influential leader in the Protestant Reformation. Born in France and educated in civil law, Calvin eventually fled Catholic France and moved to Geneva, Switzerland, where he instituted many reforms. Under Calvin’s leadership, the city of Geneva became a haven for other Reformers who fled persecution in their own countries; also, by 1540 the city began moving toward a theocracy—moral law and civil law were one and the same. In 1553 came a confrontation with a heretic named Michael Servetus, who was eventually executed in Geneva for his heresy; this incident has been a source of controversy ever since.

Michael Servetus was a Spanish physician and theologian who rejected orthodox Trinitarian doctrine. According to Servetus, God is one single person. He contended that the persons of the Trinity are actually “forms” in which God has chosen to manifest Himself. According to Servetus, Christ was made a man by God, and His human nature prevents Him from being God. Servetus concluded God is eternal, but Jesus Christ is not. In his denial of the Trinity, Servetus was seen as a heretic by Catholics and Protestants alike. John Calvin briefly corresponded with Servetus, but broke off all communication after the first few letters, as it was apparent that Servetus was unyielding in his denial of the Trinity.'
John Calvin was not a nice man and perhaps the decision was wanting to separate John Calvin from Switzerland.

The first openly gay Bishop in the United Methodist Church Karen Oliveto (pictured) spoke about the divisions last year

'They're building a church based on who they're leaving out. And you have to wonder: If you're building a church on how you are leaving out, are you letting Jesus in?'

Obviously she doesn’t actually read the Bible. Most of the Bible is about staying away and leaving out those who practice sin. It’s all so ridiculous.  Reminds me of a phrase I like “Let them be wrong in their wrongness”.  Jehovah will take care of it.

I have talked about my studies husband who is a surgeon, Korean and once a Military Officer.  He started to come to the meetings but, did not want a study.

Last night he called my husband and says when he gets back from Illinois this October, will be his last trip teaching out there.  He wants to study.  My husband told me this morning.  I cried.

I have worked on these people for about 12-13 years.  She is an unbaptized publisher (she should be baptized) but, that's beside the point.  He finally made his move.  He came to the RC and made up his mind I guess.

I used to tell my husband that my study will probably not get baptized before him.  (I think I was right) maybe they will get baptized together.  🙂
