Looks like a aftershock quake followed a big one in Indonesia.

The big one was deep.  Even larger shallower quakes usually follow the big deep ones.

Just heard on our local news, Monroe Michigan just has a 3.4 mag earthquake around 7:00pm today!!!!

In all my years of monitoring earthquake activity, I don't recall ever seeing such tremendous

swarm activity as this:

 

 

No wonder that Nevada newspaper article was warning of a possible big quake near the Salton Sea

in California.

MONROE, Mich. (AP) — Authorities say a magnitude 3.2 earthquake occurred Friday night near Monroe in the southeastern corner of Michigan.

 

The U.S. Geological Survey says the depth was about 5.7 miles. The earthquake was felt in Ohio, which is just minutes from Monroe.

 

It happened around 7 p.m. Earthquakes of that magnitude aren’t considered major, although people say they felt it. Vicki LaVelle of Temperance says there was a “loud boom” and her “entire house shook.”

 

Earthquakes of 3.2 magnitude aren’t considered major. State police had no reports of damage.

Yes, the thing is ugly.
Here in Bahia, Brazil, there was yesterday, 30/08/2020 a 4.6 strong not as the brothers showed there but really a significant earthquake, I explain:
In Brazil it is rare, very rare earthquakes, and what happened yesterday was that everything was shaking ... it was not just a shock.
There were no dead people and the like, but it came as a surprise, none as impressive as that.

Man has been taking more and more from earth and then putting all of what they have taken on top of the top layer (crust). Something has to give!
