Donald Trump injured

Recommended Posts

It happened only a couple of hours ago. Donald Trump was apparently shot at during a rally in Pennsylvania.

Quote

BUTLER, Pa. — Former President Donald Trump was rushed off the stage with blood on the side of his head and his ear after shots were fired just minutes into his rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday.

Trump is currently safe and is expected to survive, according to two senior law enforcement officials briefed on the matter.

I can understand some may not want him as president, but this is going too far. Definitely Satan's world.

I wonder how many conspiracy theories will come out of this.

Several people that were interviewed repeatedly asked "What's this world coming too?"

This event can make an interesting topic of conversation in service tomorrow. I'll keep some contact cards with me the next couple of days and look for opportunities to start conversations.

That’s a good way of looking at the situation 😊 I just came home from day 2 of the Declare The Good News convention and the first thing I thought was here Jehovah’s people are being galvanized into having a greater share in the ministry and satan is trying to distract people.

I guarantee you that everyone's going to have an opinion. But from what I'm seeing, the opinions haven't changed. His supporters are more supportive, his opponents aren't being swayed by sympathy.

After 9/11, everyone wanted to talk. But this major news event is different: This is based on politics.

I'm in Australia, where politics isn't so... all-consuming. From here, it seems that every single subject in the USA, down to and including where you buy your groceries, is seen as making a political statement of some kind. To our brothers in the USA, I hope you can maintain your neutrality.

Yes. I've seen them. There was an article I saw this morning outlining the basic ideas behind several of the conspiracy theories already… not even 24 hours after the shooting! One theory blames a guy in Italy, even though he was in Italy at the time, saying he was the shooter!

Going back to World War I, it was an assassination that started it. World War I, also known as the Great War, began on June 28, 1914, when Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria-Hungary and his wife, Sophie, were assassinated in Sarajevo, Bosnia. The assassination was carried out by Gavrilo Princip, a Serbian nationalist who opposed Austria-Hungary's control of the region.

I was not surprised to hear of this attempt, to be honest thought it would have been attempted by now. It's going to be interesting to see if President Biden has an attempt on his life. I have gotten to the point where nothing surprises me in a decaying world.

The shooter was from Bethel!

Well, Bethel Park. It was a 20 year local kid. How much international interest is that going to create? I can't see WW3 starting because some dumb local kid decides to shoot a political candidate.

You don't need to go that far back. The leader of Japan was assassinated 2 years ago

It was a marked point in history, that's why I posted it. The former prime minister's assassination did not lead to WW3.

Trump Is a billionaire,I don't understand what he wants from politics.

Dangote has deliberately refused to run for any office in Nigerian politics even when a lot of people really want him to run for presidency.

Politics has no dignity,it's not something for someone who really value their self worth.

I’m not accusing Trump of being greedy for power because I don’t know his true intentions and only have my opinions… but not all politicians do it for the money. Sometimes when people achieve all the money they could ever want, they then feel like the only thing left to achieve is a lot of power because that’s something they may not have and now covet.

According to the story in some of the media, he's trying to escape justice. There are so many criminal lawsuits he is facing now, and already one criminal conviction. If he gets back into power, he can fire the District Attorney for each of those cases, put in place a new one who is absolutely loyal to Trump, and have him dismiss all the charges and overturn the conviction. It likely has nothing to do with his money; he doesn't want to be accountable. (Or so the story is told...)

Same comment. He does value his self worth, so he wants the "appearance" of being free from blame. Time will tell if he gets it.

so how does this work?

senes there are no other candidates if Trump was killed

would that mean that Biden would win right

No, I think someone else would be selected by the Republican party. Probably Nikki Haley.

Thank you for that consideration Brother. One thread regarding Peace and Security, Great Tribulation, Armageddon has already been hijacked by this topic.  I will not be following it now, as a result.  I purposefully did not follow this thread, however, it is the prerogative of others to do so.

All of this is thrust in our faces every hour of the day here in the US and I guess I never expected it to be given any credence here on our forums, given our neutral stance.

Yes, it’s good to know what is happening on the global scene, but it’s like an obsession on some threads here. And speaking only for myself, it doesn’t help us who live here in maintaining our firm neutral stand. It has taken a huge effort to break free of a news ‘addiction’ and it is more difficult to remain free when it is so prominent in many posts. Others, not Jehovah’s Witnesses, who can access these threads would clearly not view many posts as neutral.

I went back and listened to Brother Geoffrey Jackson’s February 2017 JW Broadcast talk

Why is Neutrality So Important?

and our family worship this week will be focusing on neutrality.

Please help us remain strong in staying free of the political scene here, by not over-reacting about it here on jwtalk. We need the prayers of our brothers earth wide.

He can give himself a pardon on a federal case.  Some of these are state cases and he has no jurisdiction in the state cases.  At least not now.  Who knows what laws may change in the future?  Some people want to move the state cases to federal court.

I am not saying any of this is right or wrong, but that is how the law reads now.

But money is an even greater power,

Can you imagine how powerful and confident someone can feel when they have plenty money?

The money is the power.

The business tycoons are the ones controlling the politicians, politicians are mere puppets to them,at least here in Nigeria its what we see playing out.

If this site gets dragged into any kind of political expression, it has lost its mandate for a spiritually healthy means of meeting our brothers and sisters.

Well I don't understand how the expressions are already sounding political to you Bro Mike, even though it's a discussion about a political incidence, but It doesn't seem like anyone is trying to favour any side.

To me I think,It is just a normal discussion about the happenings around us,not really like we are partakers or supporters.

But if it worries your conscience,we are so sorry for that,it's not intentional.
