I want to start this post off by fully acknowledging AND apologizing for the fact that this post might be longer than some of you care to read...but I promise...it is indeed worth the time it will take to read it! My sincere hope and desire is that each of you will feel as uplifted and secure in your faith after hearing this...as when it was shared with me...a few days ago! The majority of this information came from a substitute C.O., so please do not think I am taking credit. I am simply choosing to pass on, (mostly),...what this very dear brother shared with me...something which he received from a dear personal friend in Bethel...and which he is considering adding to a talk of his. To begin...please allow me to present to you...the following quote...from a very well-known man: "With such men as you...our cause could not be lost." Napoleon once openly acknowledged this to his famous loyal "Old Guard"...admitting that his success hinged on the men who followed him into battle. Without them...he was simply..."one man"...albeit a brilliant one...but still...just one man! In short...even though Napoleon freely admitted that he needed each and every single one of his men in order to accomplish what he did...and even though those men may have felt validated and important after hearing such a rousing speech from their commander...still, for the most part, their names and their individual accomplishments went largely unrecorded in the annuls of time...it was Napoleon who gained the glory and the prestige of having accomplished everything he did. My dear brothers and sisters...the opposite is true with Jehovah. He doesn't NEED any of us...not a single one of us...after all, he has limitless power and wisdom! He isn't held back by human weaknesses...he doesn't require an army or servants to accomplish his purposes. (Acts 17:24,25: "The God who made the world and all the things in it, being, as he is, Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in handmade temples;25 nor is he served by human hands as if he needed anything, because he himself gives to all people life and breath and all things.") Jehovah, quite literally...needs NOTHING from us...just think: He sent ONE angel to strike down 185,000 men in ONE night...a task that thousands of Israelite soldiers couldn't have accomplished in that time frame. Not convinced? Look at Jesus' own words at Matthew 26:53: "Or do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father to supply me at this moment more than 12 legions of angels?" Notice how Jesus said..."angels"...not humans? Jehovah does not need anything from us...nor does his Son! David acknowledged this at 1 Samuel 17:47: "And all those gathered here will know that it is not with the sword or the spear that Jehovah saves, for the battle belongs to Jehovah, and he will give all of you into our hand.” Unlike Napoleon...or any other human leader...Jehovah has never faced a scenario where HIS plans have fallen short due to HUMAN failings! He never tires out...there is NO obstacle he cannot surpass. Therefore...an essential question arises...and one that I have frankly secretly considered myself on many occasions: If Jehovah God doesn't NEED us...WHY DOES HE INVOLVE US AT ALL??? Why not use angels...or the "stones" to cry out...instead of us?? Please take a walk with me...my dear brothers and sisters...a walk through a figurative illustration that will, hopefully, help each and every single one of YOU understand why Jehovah chooses to use YOU...instead of an angel...instead of a "rock"...to help others to get to know HIM! There once was a very loving father...a father who loved his children very much...each and every single one of them was precious in his eyes...and he tried his best to raise them with true love and dignity. One day...this father realized the time had come to paint the inner walls of his home. He knew he could do this job perfectly...if he but put his mind to it...the job would be done quickly and beautifully...without a single missed stroke. But after working by himself for a while...suddenly he catches sight of his young son watching him from the corner of the room...an oversized paintbrush clutched firmly in one tiny fist. His son is watching and attempting to imitate his every brush stroke...just waiting for the smallest sign from his daddy that he can be of SOME help...no matter how small, no matter how insignificant it may be to his father. The father...not wanting to hurt his child...invites him to come forward and help...stooping to his level and painting slowly and carefully alongside him. Now...let's be real...the father in this scenario certainly doesn't need his son's help, if anything...the little boy's unsteady strokes might actually drip paint and hinder progress...causing further delays and even, at times, serious need for repairs. And yet...the father doesn't hate his son for these delays...it's the JOY in his son's eyes that matters...it's the BOND that starts to mature and grow before his very eyes that MATTERS to this father!! Later on...the father can always touch up on any spots where the son has messed up...the point is: The child's willing participation is worth FAR MORE than a "perfectly painted" wall could EVER be! Now...my dear brothers and sisters...please take a spiritual walk with me...(as this dear brother took me on)…and please take a serious look at just a few of the children that Jehovah has allowed to "paint" alongside him as he brings this world back to perfection. He allowed Adam to work side by side with him by naming the animals...please just consider...certainly Jehovah knew BEST what to call each of his creatures...and yet look closely at what he said to Adam at Genesis 2:19: "Now Jehovah God had been forming from the ground every wild animal of the field and every flying creature of the heavens, and he began bringing them to the man to see what he would call each one; and whatever the man would call each living creature, that became its name." Jehovah could have done everything by himself...and yet here he is...entrusting that important task to Adam...giving this single human a LASTING SHARE in his creative work...even though Adam ended up becoming unfaithful! (Imagine if Jehovah had decided to rename all the animals simply because our forefather had proved unfaithful!! Jehovah told Noah to build the Ark...he could have miraculously created an ark for Noah and his family...but instead he chose to dignify Noah's obedience! He empowered Moses to not only confront Pharaoh, but to lead the Israelites out of Egypt...even though it was HE who caused the miracles and ultimately freed them. He told the Israelites to march around the walls of Jericho...even though HE made the walls fall down! In each and every single one of these cases...and a thousand more just like them...Jehovah was the loving parent...he was the one from who's hand came the essential success! But WHY???? Simply because...as Psalms 138:6 points out: "Though Jehovah is high, he takes note of the humble, But the haughty he knows only from a distance." And it's the same today...he continues to extend this simple yet beautiful invitation... Matthew 28:19: "Go, therefore, and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit..." Do you get it yet? Jehovah continues to commission us...imperfect, sinful humans...to carry the greatest message ever given to mankind. He cares about the QUALTIY of our service...not the quantity. Not convinced? (Please take a serious look at Luke 21:1-4) Jehovah measures devotion...WHOLE SOULED DEVOTION...not dollars...not "statistics"! Now...how can I wrap this post up? What can I say that will help even the most pessimistic among us that Jehovah loves YOU?? The simple truth is...yes...Jehovah CAN do it without you...but the secret is...HE DOESN'T WANT TO!!!! Believe it or not...whether you understand it or not...a victory on Jehovah's behalf...is a victory on YOUR behalf! Please...allow Jehovah to take your hand and make those imperfect brush strokes...because while you may not be needed...in Jehovah's service you are VALUED more than you will ever know...because of YOU...he takes another imperfect brush stroke and turns it into something perfect...because of each and every single one of YOU...Jehovah's chariot moves closer and closer to the end of this system of things!! I love each and every single one of you...and may Jehovah continue to bless each of you!

Subject: Update on Threats Against Jehovah’s Witnesses in Kerala, India I wanted to share an important update concerning our fellow Witnesses in Kerala, India, who are facing renewed threats amid ongoing legal proceedings related to the tragic 2023 Kalamassery convention bombing. On May 12, 2025, T.A. Sreekumar, the regional spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses in Kerala, received a threatening WhatsApp message from a Malaysian-registered number. The message warned of bomb attacks on our places of worship and gatherings across Kerala and threatened individuals cooperating in the ongoing Kalamassery blasts case. This incident follows the October 29, 2023, attack during a Jehovah’s Witnesses convention in Kalamassery, where eight individuals, including a 12-year-old girl, lost their lives, and over 50 others were injured. Dominic Martin, who claimed to be a former member of our community, surrendered to the police and confessed to orchestrating the attack, citing ideological disagreements with our teachings as his motive. The Kerala Police have registered a case under sections pertaining to inciting hatred and criminal intimidation and are actively investigating the source of the recent threat. They are also probing potential links to broader networks. These events underscore the challenges faced by our brothers and sisters in Kerala. Let us keep them in our prayers, asking Jehovah to grant them strength and protection during these trying times. This is exactly what Papa Musa told Amani, even though he thought it wouldn't happen in their area, that it was just rumors. He corrected his point of view in time, but this lack of caution almost cost the entire family dearly. Let's commit our way to Jehovah !

This experience is so touching and amazing. It was related as part of the WHQ visit to Britain this weekend by Brother Willy Gournon from the Netherlands branch. One brother was serving faithfully as an elder who worked on the railroad. One day, he received a call from his work to do the night shift. So the brother went. Morning comes and he doesn’t return home. His wife is now anxious and contacts the elders to help find him. The police get involved but eventually they call off the search. He’s nowhere to be found. The wife is distraught. What had happened was as the brother was on his way to work, he was travelling with others in a car and he was deliberately pushed out onto the road as it was travelling. The car was travelling at a fast speed as the brother flew out the car. He was severely bleeding from his head but he survived. He was in the middle of nowhere in Albania, some 100 miles from home! Previously, he could speak Indonesian, English and Dutch fluently. But now because of his head injury, he now had Amnesia. He’d completely forgotten how to speak Dutch, he didn’t know that he was married and he didn’t even know his own name! So, he gave himself a Chinese name. Later, this brother ended up in prison and after prison he got settled into a homeless complex with other residents with the goal of reintegrating the residents back into society. The complex was made up of many homeless people who had varying religious beliefs. But as the brother was sitting in the library section of the complex, he noticed a small blue book on one of the selves entitled “The Truth That Leads to Eternal Life.” He read it and was intrigued. He noticed the details of the local branch in the back fo the book and contacted the branch. A couple went and studied with the brother and it ended with the brother getting baptised, now for a second time! Later, this brother was street witnessing in a zoo in the Netherlands where members of his former congregations were visiting at the same time and just caught sight of the brother that they were searching for years ago! They thought he was joking when he said he didn’t know or recognise the members of his former congregation. These members went back to the elders, and both the branch and the elders worked together to kindly tell the brother of his being an elder, his real name and that fact that he was married! He was shown photos of his wedding day that he totally had no recollection of! Can you imagine how he and his wife felt the day that he turned up back at his house?! Indescribable. The brother accepted what was told him about his life. He is now reunited with his wife and is still currently serving as an elder. We don’t know for certain, but could this be evidence that Jehovah never forgot this brother’s heart even when the police and elders thought he would never be found again? When you are lost, Jehovah will always find you because your heart belongs to him.

last Easter cessation of hostilities just has been used by Russian trrops to move army froces throught drone-contrlolled "death zones", demining and preparations for assaults. As far as the beggining of May is planning big Russian operation and many troops accumulated, there is no doubt that this "truce" will be used just as a cover for preparations for an offensive.

Simple and to the point - excellent!! Would God permit nuclear war? The Bible does not say. It does say that “fearful sights,” or terrifying events, would occur in our day. (Luke 21:11) An example of such events includes atomic bombs being dropped during the Second World War. The Bible explains why God has permitted wars. Even if man were to use nuclear weapons again, God would not allow the situation to escalate to the point of global annihilation. The Bible says that our planet will not only survive threats to its existence but will also host human life forever.

I‘m currently in Côte D’Ivoire, and a letter on the suspension of JWs from the local Branch Office (dated 2 May) was read after the Watchtower study today. It invited the friends to a letter-writing campaign. Anyone interested in joining should reach out to an elder. That’s all I got. I wonder whether it will be a global or regional campaign.

And these times are critical. More critical, I'd say, than in the past. Yes, I understand (and sometimes agree) that unprecedented is overused. You cited three major moments in the past that are equivalent to now. However, the life of the average person is way more stressful now than then. During WWI and WWII, for example, most families were single income in the US. Even after those wars and through the 50s up to the early 70s dad worked, mom stayed home, and the nuclear family was normal. Starting about the 70s to now it's different. The norm seems to be broken homes. Both parents (if there are two) work. Even teenagers need to get a job if they want clothes. Drug abuse is common. Alternate lifestyles, porn, and LGBT culture is overwhelming. The moral decay and bankruptcy is blatant and overwhelming. Political crisis have always been shocking. Now, in addition, we have the complete collapse of the family and the ability to meet our basic needs. These are truly critical times.

Equatorial Guinea's government is a typical African dictatorship where the President (who came to power by means of a coup and executed the previous dictator, his uncle) constantly makes arbitrary decisions and any opposing voice is quickly murdered and suppressed. It's very unlikely any court will overturn any decision of the dictator.

I believe brother Niel means the nations that Brother Jackson referred to 'as the ones that have never been a part of the 7 world powers' . English doesn't always translate perfectly and so, if it's possible that it is not a person's mother tongue, I try and make the effort to understand the meaning, not just read the words.

A Witness couple had two little boys, ages 8 and 10, who were excessively mischievous. They were always getting into trouble and their parents knew that, if any mischief occurred in their town, their sons were probably behind it. The boy's mother heard that an Elder in the Cong. had been successful in disciplining children, so she asked if he would speak with her boys. The Elder agreed but asked to see them individually. So the mother sent her 8 year-old first, in the morning, with the older boy to see the Elder in the afternoon. The Elder, a huge man with a booming voice, sat the younger boy down and asked him sternly, "Where is God?" The boy made no response, sitting there with his mouth hanging open, wide-eyed. So the Elder repeated the question in an even sterner tone, "Where is God!!?" Again the boy made no attempt to answer. So the Elder raised his voice even more and shook his finger in the boy's face and bellowed, "WHERE IS GOD!?" The boy screamed and bolted from the room, ran directly home and hid in his wardrobe. When his older brother found him, he asked, "What happened?" The younger brother, gasping for breath, replied,

In my mother tongue there’s no word for ‘worldly’ or ‘unbeliever/unbelieving mate’. We use the expression - one who’s not yet a servant of Jehovah. From the time we were born we are worldly but what sets us apart is that we choose to live by Jehovah’s high moral standards. Isn't nice to be amongst grown ups, because we know the truth? All I see are school yard bullies with too much power, money and dangerous toys. I don't see any adult behavior. I'm so over bully tactics and tantrums and no thought about anyone else but themselves. I'm tired too, but fighting to not tire out. We are almost there.

I think Brother Cristino @Araujo JW thought of Gilead because this year, the previous Gilead Graduation program was broadcast in November instead of the usual December. The schedule was disrupted by the 2024 AM. So we might have graduation on Monday, unless things change. If it weren't for graduation: If my eyes haven't betrayed me, it's been two years since Brother Noumair hosted a monthly program. If he were the May host, then perhaps we'll have a theme that explores a quality through a biblical character, and we'll have a blast. I'd love Habbakuk, just saying. Along with that: news of our brothers enduring war and its neutrality, deprivation, climate change, and finally, a lovely song about endurance and a postcard from a beautiful Asian country. That's my personal menu.

The world is going mental … this is the softest expression that comes to my mind.

It's only eternity. What's so long about that? 😁 It wasn't until I started writing this series that I got an idea of just how big a job it would be. To be honest, that thought was encouraging for me, because it struck me that rebuilding/teaching/cleanup was just the first project. When the Tower of Babel went up, God saw a fallen humanity with everything in their reach. Imagine what we'll be like under a united rule, of perfect people, with no worries about tomorrow... and then we'll look to the universe and say "What's our next project?" Because whatever it is, it'll be amazing. Clean Up and 'Graduation' will take us a thousand years. Whatever we do next? Two thousand. After that? Five thousand. And we'll just keep going. But in the meantime, reviews like this are what authors live for. Knowing I've both given you food for deep, spiritual thought; and the basis for tearful nightmares, means I've done my job. 😇
